Too Bad......
I had a similar situation with a beagle I was trying to sell. A "young kid" started emailing me about this dog and said his mom and dad had just gotten divorced and he had lost his beagle due to age on Christmas Eve and really wanted a nice dog to walk and take to the local park. Being nice I tell this kid to have his mother call me and we might be able to work something out.
His mother calls me and says they live two states away and they really do not have the money to drive and pick up the dog and also pay for it. I tell her that I will give the dog to them if they will come here and pick it up. A few phone calls later she tells me that her car is broken down and she will not be able to make it to Ohio to pick up the dog (meanwhile her son is emailing me left and right telling me how excited he is).
So having a soft streak in my heart I call her and tell her I will make the 5 hour one way trip to deliver the dog and that her boy could keep the money had saved back ($50) to help pay for gas. I informed her that this money should be used to help pay for food and expenses so that the dog would not burden her.
Story Changes.....
She tells me that his dad and uncles have several dogs for sale and the only way they would let her son have this dog was if I bought one of theirs while I was out there. Meanwhile, I had already scheduled vacation time at work and was planning this trip to deliver this dog free of charge!

I told her I was not interested in buying one of there dogs and that her son told me nothing about having "other" beagles. Then her cell phone starts breaking up.....ok you can't afford to pay for the dog.....your car is broken down......and your on the interstate in a car and you can't talk.
I proptly hung up and blocked their email address and phone number.....sometimes things just don't add up.
