I personally feed once a day at nite but have over the years fed a couple hounds that would take seizures, right before running them so I wouldn't have issues while running them. Our vet was the one who told us to feed them right before hunting them. That's back 15+ years ago when I fed Purina Hi-Corn Pro. Since getting the hounds off that garbage I have never had a issue since. Anyhow, at those different times I owned each of those hounds and fed them before going to the field I never had any issues. Also if ya don't think your hound will fill his belly on a gut pile when your not watching, that's just plain silly. Then same hound will run for the next 3 hours and not have a issue.

Also a couple things I wont tolerate in a hound, just to name a couple. I wont tolerate a kennel barker and I wont put up with a hound that craps or pisses in the box. Its a fault in a hound IMO, plain and simple. Just had a hound shipped in, was in a vehicle for a couple days while in transit and when finally put in the kennel he took 2 dumps that would of made any Mastiff proud. Didn't pee or crap in the crate he was in at all. The last thing I will do also is alter my kennels in height or size from what they already are for a dog that wets in the box, as some suggest. Its a fault just like the persons house you walk in that has garbage all over the place and ya wonder how they live like that. Its a fault in the person, laziness or whatever, plain and simple. Don't breed them, I mean the dogs, just get rid of them, if ya have any control over the people don't let them breed either. Just like some say they run a older hound to teach younger hounds the tricks of the trade, same said hound peeing and crapping in the box will teach the pups to do the same. JMO, which is the same as GW's basically, but I know he feeds that crap they call Purina in small amounts along with the raw diet. Can't agree with everything ya do GW. Ya cant be right all the time. ;)

Littlewoody, If I wasn't aware of your learning disability, ( which is not your fault, and I don't ever want you to think it is) I would respond a little differently, but as it is I want to be the first to say that I think you are doing one hellava job for what you have to work with, keep plodding on son, and may God bless you, for trying!

L.R. Patch , I appreciate you saying that you are a Puker, It explains a lot. So it not only appears that your dogs are pukers but that you are also. I will take your word for it . Let me be clear It is none of my business if you want to keep a Puker, I don't have a problem with that, apparently your dad didn't mind keeping a Puker either, did you ever grow out of it?

Dixie, I imagine while searching through your coloring books you run across a lot of heroes . Most of us don't read nor deal with super hero characters as you obviously do, as we are ADULTS! Come on tell me 19 , right! and still looking at comic books, doesn't surprise me, oh, wait I am sure you are about to tell us you were reading the wall street journal when you came across the picture, yes we believe you were looking at an adult publication when you got the picture. Your mommy I am sure will tell you that you are a man, you just listen to your mommy and you will be fine!

Not so fast casey, you see any lately with more replies, I doubt that you will see any with more hits shortly either. knock it all you want but try to start one with better participation, no- one is forced to look and no-one is forced to respond. say you dis-like it all you want but most names are at the bottom of this page quite often! You didn't mind reading or getting your two cents in.

likeem' What do you mean I can't be right all of the time, Don't you understand that will completely ruin my reputation as a Know-it-all. I strongly and respectably dis-agree with you on the matter, what I don't know could be placed in a thimble and a good sized cat thrown in on top of it!

I find it funny that a post can never stay on point due to the negative comments to each other. Every post seems to turn into a pissing match.

Now there's my two cents worth sir.

Well actually Casey, On a post that you say is down the Pooper you commented twice on, that would be your four cents worth! You give the idea that you don't like a pissing match but jump right in. You are welcome to change the channel but you know what, we will see your name at the bottom of this page again, won't we! You are so disgusted you can't stop reading, that's typical, I will see you at the bottom of the page , LOL.

APFII said I feed half ration in mourning and half ration in eveening. I run them when ever the mood strikes me to take them out that day.
