Never the Less he come back and did it. Constant pack pressure as we know can be a Bitzh, somebody mentioned Cookie. I could tell within 10 mins if she had been soloed or not when she came to the Midwest.
I heard the same thing about Reggie not handling the pressure and having to be sent back.
Handling pressure goes with brains and not being overly competitive to a fault.
I know of several dogs that are trialed every weekend and they don't blow up or get rattled, that takes brains brains brains, some dogs can handle it and some can't.
Some dogs are too high strung and have to be ran up, some even before a trial just to settle down.
He did finish 2nd time up North and that's what matters in the end, as long as his owner and the people who breed to him are happy that's what counts in the end.

I heard that when somebody has only negative things to say about a dog, there's a 99% chance it's because their dogs got their A$$ spanked by that dog, tge other 1% has never saw the dog run and is just going off what they have heard. That's just what I heard.

jim, this is my last post. lets talk a ables east coast trimmer, to this day no other hound in history did what he did in the trial circuit.

u cant watch ever hound run, and I trusted what Terry McBride told me about reggie, monkman tried and it didn't work either. I am glad reggie is well loved, but u wont see any of that in my kennel.i am not bashing reggie, every hound has faults, his just were on puplic display. u just have to be able to live with what faults your hounds have.

I bet reggie has over 500 off spring on the ground maybe more maybe less. u wanna help protect your hound, don't breed it to ever dam femal that shows up. be selective be honest.

dogs out of Reggie, in my area bring a hefty price, they make real hounds for the hunter....and a switch pup I have is the youngest pup I ever started, and she checks the big dogs a lot of times...IMO the legend lives on.. :D

Well being that I have never competed aganist a Reggie dog I guess that doesn't apply!
Some people just hate to hear the truth, the information "I heard" came first hand from not 1 but several that saw Reggie run up North. Not everyone is a hater or bashing a hound, some people just disuss dogs the good and the bad.
Contrary to popular belief they don't make a perfect one, some are just better than others.
I know Monk was impressed enough to breed one of his top reproducing bitches to him, when he came back up North.
A dog or bloodline should be able to be discussed good and "BAD" without someone stating there a hater or bashing.
I can look at my dogs and know the good and bad in them, if I can't live with the bad they are gone quick fast in a hurry.
As much as Reggie has been bred there has to be some good ones out of him, especially if bred to some top bitches.

I also heard that when someone talks about how many times a dog has been bred and how many pups they have on the ground it's just because their jealous that the dog has been laid more times than they have. :D

When you produce fast horses, national champion basketball teams, the best bourbon, and dogs that can run the fur off a rabbit in one state sooner or later somebody's gonna hate..:) I love my ninja, Reggie cross dogs. If a dogs blood wasn't any good I wouldn't pay a stud fee or buy a pup. It's that simple. Well maybe not for a yankee. lol. jk
