AT THIS ACLEAN MALE WILL NOT CLEN UP AMOUTHY BITCH S PUPS OR VICE VERSER.I GUESS IM OFF SUBJECT BUT TRYING TO SAVE U SOME MONEY AND HEARTACHE.
Most dogs have some sort of fault. I hate a mouthy dog, but i can tolerate a little extra mouth. i'd rather have a dog bark too much as too little. If .....................................................................................dogs were never bred, how much better would the beagle be. I can tell you every fault every dog i have has got. i don't want a fault-free dog because if it's fault free it's probably not getting much done!
Keep the best, cull the rest!

I've never seen a timid Lumberjack male. I have a Lumberjack male and he is anything but timid however he handles well, and downs on command. A little agressive though. Lumberjack couldn't be caught by Even Branko without hiding and jumping out and catching him when he went by (according to Branko) I like lumberjack real well. wwdorroh

Have never owned a Lumberjack or a Primetime bred hound my self although I am a big fan of hounds that go back to Jack of all Trades which both of them do.I was at a Mid-West trial awhile back and Denny Dugan was running several Lumberjack hounds. From what I saw that day they showed no shyness/timidness around the people, horses or other hounds.I believe several of them are doing some winning at the trials.
Talk to Denny about these hounds.Even though he is in partnership with Branko on some hounds I believe the man will talk to you straight about the dogs and not pull any punches.

THALL I M SORRY AS USUALLY I SAY THINGS THE WRONG WAY BUT I CAN'T TOLERATE AMOUTHY DOG I JUST CAN'T STAND IT. MY DOGS R NOT PERFECT THEY HAVE THERE FAULTS BUT FALSE TOUNGE IS NOT 1 OF THEM . IF I C'THINGS N AYOUNG DOG 3 TIMES HE IS GONE THERE IS ADIFFERENCE N PUPPY BARKINGTHAN AYOUNG DOGBARKING WRONG . LET ME SAY IT THIS WAY A YOUNG STARTED DOG THAT CONTINUES TO BARK WRONG TO ME NOW THIS IS ME HAS TOLEAVE HERE WITH NO PAPERS. MAY BE THATS WHY I ONLY HAVE 3 RUNNING DOGS AS OF NOW IM AM VERY CRITICAL OF MY HOUNDS . I DONT KEEP ADOG I WOULD'NT BREED OR BREED TOO. IF HE CAN'T CIRCLE HIS OWN RABBIT AT 1 YR. OLD HE SHE DONT STAY HERE. OH YES THE ONE I DO KEEP CAN GET SOMETHING DONE AND DONE RIGHT. YOURS N BEAGLING BIGDOG PACE .

THe problem he described is when everyone else was yelling for their dog, Lumber knew the running was done and would not let anyone else catch him but Norm. Norm had to wait for everyone else to catch their hound and quit yelling than he said Lumber would come right to him in a few minutes.
I've known a lot of dogs like that, and owned a few. None of them had Lumberjack in the pedigree, lol. The insanity of everybody yelling at once creeped them out. And then some of them were just hard-headed and didn't want to come in or handle...but they weren't my definition of "shy."

i have both these dogs in questions here at my house and been runnin callies guts out when ran up she dont have that extra mouth problem so much now she may take more than 3 minutes to produce but she will produce..and big mack is gettin older i dont run him as much but i do run him some..timid no...i can tell tho in his day he could prolly make a pack of hounds stetch it out..ami i making a misteake ..dunno i aint crossed them yet am i goin to ?..dunno...i think callie has come a long way since i have been runnin her hard...never ever seen her lay down false track on me..and as far as a gun dog i ahve seen her jump rabbits when others couldnt smell it period does she have faults ?..yes all dogs do ALL OF THEM...not sure what i will do in the future if i will breed callie or if i will just gun her...but i will be breeding my lumberjack male to my linebred chester bitch my buddy has when she is in..like or not he may keep the whole litter cant really see how that deal can go wrong...if i breed mack to callie i may keep the whole litter till they start and see what i got ...dont wanna pass on junk to nobody....but if it does what i think it will do they should make rabbit dogs...and i aint no rocket scientist but i have produced more than a few good hounds in my time and like the rest of you have seen some turds make it out too..never know what i might do but i will start my litters cause if they dont suit me why sell them to somebody else...i lost my powerhound recently and that was a hard nut to swallow if i dont keep runnin and try to remember why i likie this so much i may just quit all together,,,...and i really dont wanna do that but losin your best budddy makes all kind of things go through your head
