You'd be surprised what a treble hook and a piece of meat will do. Also doesnt hurt to have a fearless Blue Heeler either....They've both worked on em pretty good on the farm. I don't think you'll ever be able to completely wipe them out.

The one we have out here on the farm, is a trained cattle dog. He roams loose here, and you'll hear him fight with the coyotes at night, if they come in too close. I've seen him kill them with my own eyes, they are very loyal dogs. When I run with Abshire, his red heeler follows us around and she runs in and checks things out if she thinks somethin is up, I think its just bred in them. We're actually gonna cross these two up when she comes in heat.

Alright thanks. I have been just trying to explore my options.I do not really want to try the hook thing,because I do have people that willl occasionaly walk thru the areas I run.nobody around us run yote hounds or beagles,so when we run it is like a magnet to the coyotes.thanks eveybody for any advice.

HEY, felow rabbit hunters, i lost a female patty on AUG 4 2008, THEY RAN 4 DOGS OFF A RABBIT DOWN IN A DEEP HOLLOW, THIS ALL HAPENED ON JULY 29, GOT 3 OTHERS BACK LOOKED TERIBLE FROM WOUNDS AND EXHAUSTED, FROM THE WHOLE ORDEAL. i have already started on my part they had 8 down last i heard..gonna be after these lil worthless coyotes all weekend..also been keeping my .17hmr in the truck for the ones i see on the county roads

also wanted to mention the invite is open to anyone wanting to come blast some..you cn park at my farm and all the farms around me want them shot too..so come on out i live in the middle of the woods and they are thick here..

yea steve i live in the middle of nowhere...perfect place for coyotes to thrive..but i am gonna try to thin them down the best i can..

I seen on the outdoor channel last week a guy was deer huntin in Alberta Canada when a yote come up & spoiled his huntin. Pxssed him so he called the yote in & shot him with his bow at 35 yrds. That was cool!

they got 12 total over the weekend and nobody including me had a digital camers..but i did take some pics with my ol throw away camera..they at least thinned the heard a lil..

pictures or no pictures 12 yotes dead is freakin awesome. I bet them guys had a blast killing that many. You probably won't have any trouble for a while. It will also help the rabbit population is your area which is a plus.

thats a bunch..but i bet they didnt even put a dent into whats there..but over time we will send a few to their maker..
