seems like everybody is afraid to stand up for anything anymore they are always afraid of making someone mad!!

It's a problem because Tri-Tronics has always been good to me, so has Eddie, and I'm not gonna sell out my friends just because YOU and somebody else want your pound of flesh. I'm standing up for them. I don't knuckle to your kind of manipulation, and as you can see, I'm not afraid of making you mad, so your theory doesn't hold water.

I have had no problems with my new g2 it works great guys if you are having to shock your hounds a mile away than you have bigger problems than your collars.If you shock a hound that far away how in the world would that hound no which way to turn.I live in southern indiana where the running is huge and i never shock a dog unless he can tell exactly where i am located been a lot of hounds lost up here in these coal mines because of inexperinced houndsman that just kept on a shocking.Now as far as the cradle chargers going bad the only thing i can think of is when you are charging be sure the cradle is flat on a table AND do not put a towel or any thing under it.buddy of mine did this and went through 6 chargers before TT finally figured out what he was doing wrong thwey replaced them all 6 times.As bev said this company does alot for the trails and hound world in all

I hope you're not referring to me ? If so you never read my post . I had my unit on a aluminum box when it burnt
out if memory serves me correctly . If it had been on a towell a fire could have easily started . When TT told me
that it was my fault "Faulty electric or a lightning storm" then I got upset . I would say that the flat easy to run
ground in your area makes the range of TT much better but we have a different type terriain here in KY guess
that's why KY dogs rule (something worthy of a good argument) .


Bev , feel free to lock the thread if need be . I will let everyone know and appologize for any harm I may have done
once TT honors my warranty and treats me with the same respect or 1/2 the respect I treated them with .

Please I don't want any arguments . This thread was started because of the poor manner I was treated with by
TRI TRONICS customer service and because they didn't want to stand behind thier warranty . If I had been rude to them from the start I honestly believe they would have treated me better . I love my TT unit but only within about 400-500 feet or so according to conditions NOT 1/2 to 1 mile according to conditions .

If anyone wishes to argue with me please PM me . I'm in the mood to oblige especially if you're too ignorant to read
my post before posting about me .

I have a classic 70 3 dog unit, a classic 70 6 dog unit, anddddddddddd a G2 expandable 6 dog unit. I like the classic 70 the best as it seems to work the best, seems more consistant, and reaches out further than the G2. The plus for the G2 is that you can leave them on the chargers all the time whereas you can't for the 70. I have always had great service with tritronics and they have always been very helpful. I have had the classic 70 6 dog unit rebuilt one time and is doing great right now.

Another thing that needs to be brought to Tri Tronics attetion is the easy way to program the new G2. Mine and serval friends has been stolen because people can make a few bucks by stilling your collar and re selling it. If you lose your dog overnight it will come back without a collar cause everyone knows they can re sell your collar and make money. They need a new way to program collars so people cant go around stealing them cause they know there is no way to track them.

Been loyal customers of TT for over 20 yrs, couldn't tell you how the others stack up. TT has been around the longest and is still by and far the most popular training collar system for hunting dogs. It's also probably the most expensive, but people are willing to pay. There's got to be a reason for that.

Jude, don't feel like the lone ranger, i also was treated like crap at TT. I had a brand new unit that wouldn't work 300' in an open
field and the lady told me it was pretty much my fault as well. Like someone else had posted earlier i had to buy a trashbraker with a 2 mile range to get 300 yd.s of coverage.

Jude i was not refering to anyone i was just merely giving my opinon on the post and told what my buddy did wrong with his charger like i said TT does a lot for the trails that i attend and you have to come up with ky. dogs rule whatever i believe that a indiana dog won the world hunt last year and i am sorry that there are mountains where you live i have a lot of good friends that live in that area and i hope everything between you and TT works out in your favor.

I bought the classic 70 g2 exp in Jan. 2008 I had a battery go bad on one of the collars and I called them and they said send it in and within 2 weeks I had another one. No questions asked, I am pleased with it and mine will reach out there and touch someone. Good hunting to everyone.

Call the dealer that you got it from and see what they say. Thats what I did and they sent me a new one.

As I stated in an earlier post TT customer support has been very good to me as well as older TT products I just wish that I did not have the need to contact TT customer support. I would not call TT products junk but I am not satisfied at this point. I believe that it was MarkH that made a comment that if your hound is a mile away then you have bigger problems and I agree but when a unit is supposed to have a range of 2 miles but will not reach .3 of a mile across and open field then that is the biggest problem. Here in South Carolina I have had many rabbits go farther than .3 of a mile before they turn so if I realize after .5 of a mile that its not a rabbit then I am SOL. I do realize that I will never get a 2 mile range here in SC but .3 or .5 of a mile is unacceptable. I'm not picking on you Mark I'm just trying to show a person why you could one day need all of the range that you can get.

Thanks Mark , I will do my best to work it out with them . I'm really a nice , was kinda playing
with you about the KY dogs rule and your flat ground . A Indiana dog should win the world
every time , it's thier home turf . If he can't win it two in a row he's just another dog .

and enjoy yourself . I'm upset with Tri Tronics because they treated me really badly . I'm
unhappy that it don't get near the range I should have but I'm not mad at them about that .
They should have just nicely explained what I needed to do and took care of my problem
under thier "warranty" . I have NEVER been treated that badly by any customer service
dept anywhere as I remember .
