I wear Schnee's too. Very good boot & if the botoms wear out You send them back & they replace the bottoms (for a price). Mine lasted about 10 years before they needed replacement.

I'm on my second pair of 800 gr. Rocky Bearclaws, the first pair lasted three years. This pair is leather/cordura, and seems to be holding up even better. In mild weather, I just wear my uninsulated Red Wing comfort zone work boots....

Rocky Pro Hunters right now. I also had a pair of Lacrosse boots that are still wearable after two full seasons in the multiflora thickets.

I HAVE HAD 6 PAIRS OF ROCKIES OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, AND THEY HAVE ALL LEAKED WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR. HAD 2 PAIR THAT LASTED 1 1/2 YEARS, OR JUST AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED.

SO I BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR OF "DANNERS" 2-WEEKS AGO. WE'LL SEE IF THEY CAN STAND UP UNDER THESE NC BRIARS OR NOT.

I like when the sales people tell me. OH these are water proof and they will last a long time and will never leak. I just look at them a laugh. When they say that to me it tells me one thing and that is... Those people don't have experiance hunting. If that salesman was a hunter and hunts every single weekend and runs dogs every weekend then I'd believe him.

I don't care if they write water proof all over the boot in time they will leak.

Rabbit hunting will put boots to the test. Be it briars water mud snow ice briars again and whatever else gets in my way I'll be sure to walk thru it.

Rocky boots - primarily for deer hunting, but have worn them running/hunting dogs in the winter, too. I've had this pair since 1997 and unless I get in over the top, they never leak. 400 Thinsulate:

Joeyman,

I have requested a pair of Woody Max's for Christmas. I will you know how they turn out. Everything I have heard is that they are very comfortable, warm, and waterproof. One thing that you might consider if you want something with a tighter ankle support, Muck has some leather laced up style hunting boots. These boot are also 100% waterproof, and it seems that this company has a lot of loyal followers. Good luck!

I have a pair of Cabelas Bruins That has been water proof for 3 yrs and still that way. I would recommend any boot made in the USA. There are very few shoes to choose from that is not made in CHINA.
