Same thing happened with my dogs on 26/18.
Rapid weight loss, loose stools, increased amount of feed to 1.5 times of normal amount and they still look bad., etc.....
I have talked to a number of friends that are going through this same deal with this same food.
It seems to have all started around the same time. It looks like something is going on, for that many customers to be having the same problem.
I have always had great results out of this feed until this.
I hope they straighten things out fast, or I will have to switch also.

I have noticed my dogs having loose stool on the last couple bags of the black bag. I switched from the silver to the black in colder weather, and started seeing a difference. For about two years now it has been the best food that I have fed, until recently. I hope things get better or I will have to switch at almost $19 a bag, it keeps getting more expensive, and quality is going down.

I was in Sams Club the other day and saw 50lb bags of Purina Hi Pro for $16 and some change. Is anyone feeding this? Is it better than the Black Gold black bag? I'm considering trying this on the next load.

I feed Purina but in wet cool weather I've noticed my dogs stool being somewhat looser . I've also noticed that each dog seems to be individual even in this catagory . My 2 yr old has always kept a good solid stool , my 16 mos old normally keeps a good solid stool however I have seen it fluctuate at times , my 7 yr old Patch female seems to always have a solid stool , my 5 yr old Patch Northway female keeps a loose stool no matter what I feed her , my 5 mos old Turbo male keeps a loose stool , my 5 mos old Turbo female normally keeps a solid stool (after a couple pieces of cheese it seems better ) and also seems better on Purina Dog Chow than on the Purina Puppy Chow , my 5 mos old Northway male keeps a nice solid stool almost always , and my 5 mos old Northway female keeps a very loose stool even after trying the cheese . Am I wierd or did I just analyze ? the stool of every dog I have  .

I currently have all my hounds even the pups on Purina Dog Chow ( just switched the last two pups a few days ago ) I love Purina Puppy Chow but if I feed it the recommended time or even close my dogs want to go over the 15 " mark :???: .

I've heard that Yogurt will help straighten up irregular bowel (soft stool) but keep forgetting to buy any when I'm out  .

Has anyone else tried yogurt on a hound with loose stool ?

After finishing the black bag I was using, I opened a new bag and everything has been fine since. The stool is back to normal, shiny coats, plenty of energy. I am feeding it to pups as well, they are doing fine. It may have been a bad batch or something. I am going to continue feeding Black Gold.
