I can't help it your dog aint got enough nose to smell it. (dog caught laying a line)

He'll line it out here in a minute ( popping in the check/ doesn't even shut off)

That rabbit must have sprouted wings and flew! ---frog

(drum roll please) ------My all time favorite is ---Well theres ol'------- back the rabbits in the hole. Just as the rest of the hounds tear out of the check area with it!

The dog checks in frequently to see where you are ...really means it never leaves your feet and you trip over it all day.

A little shy... means you play hell to dig it out of the box and when you do it either bites you or heads off for high timber never to be caught again once it's feet hit the ground.

May go over fifteen inches ...means closer to twenty and a throw back to it's blue tic or walker roots....oh wait...it's AKC registered.

And on that note..For Sale Excellent rabbits hounds will show in th field, will shoot over, free trial as long as you want because nothing to hide in these hounds they are the real deal...only asking 150 for the pair because I'm going to only AKC hounds!

Definately not a cull....means I haven't got the nerve to shoot it myself...please do it for me!

Karle Griffith once said this as a couple dogs laid a false line down a gravel road, "Hmmmmm, Them dogs must be running a sled track"

Karle also said as we watched a mouthy dog in a cast, "I'd like to buy that dog, so that I could stand it in front of my kennel and cut its throat to set an example!!"

Joe Bob Hunter once said this, "The way to overcome buddy judging is to be buddies with everyone."

I also like this one that was written on Bill Damiano's truck a few years ago at the World Hunt, "Run Your Dogs Not Your Mouth".

Went out one evening with an old coon hunter with two of his hounds.. One was a female named Belle and the other was her pup Rock who was maybe a year and a half old or so... The old man had promised we'd have our coon and be back in the cabin by 10:00 and it's already 8:30..
Well right out of the box old Belle struck and off she went in hot pursuit... I looked and there stood Rock sniffing the tailgate of the truck and maybe even the tailpipe... and then came the line from the old man that I'll never forget... He looked at Rock and said " Rock, son you're on death row you know and how long you stay there is entirely up to you.."
Belle treed the coon and the old man made good on his promise of having that coon and getting back by 10:00.. I never heard if Rock was pardoned from death row or not....LOL

At trials handlers getting upset because thier dogs aren't running the way he thinks they should be. My reply is "When you un snap that lead you are betting on something that has a brain the size of a walnut"

My favorite is one I hear all the time.
If he/she don't come on, I'll leave them here!!

Hear it alot but only met one man who meant it. Watched him leave a dang nice hound in South Carolinia and told the boy we was hunting with if he finds him he can have him and he would mail the papers..... blew my mind...

At a trial one dog was not in the race that sounded so good I almost harked in myself. The non participant's handler said " I think she is just not used to these other dogs".
Where's the earth shattering kaboom ?

I am sure you guys have heard this one, "He/She won't bark until the rabbits up." 30 minutes later the dog minuses out.

Matt Glomski wrote:A houndsman that I have GREAT respect for told me this one time.

"All hounds (dogs) have the same amount of nose, some just have more desire to run a smaller amount of sent"

Right or wrong I have learned alot from that statement.
Thats a good one........

Read this just the other day, "At the running grounds one day a beagler said to me " Coady your hounds are running rough today"
I ansered "Did you see the hare" Yes he said. Which way was he going, I asked. That way he said, Which way was my hounds going, I asked. The same way he replied. That's good enough for me I replied" ***** I'm Alone" *****
