I think the 51 day layoff really hurt ohio state. florida was ready no doubt. guys talent can take you so far, somtimes all the way, but there has to be good coaching. a good example is michigan with the fab five. man i loved to watch those guys play but they could only get so far and couldnt win the big one. same thing with ohio state in basketball right now. if those guys could stay together for another year or two and not head for the nba i think they could be the next great team and go all the way. anyway to bad florida cant play boise state for it all!!!!! jon c.
If that game had been played 6 weeks ago I think the outcome would have been different.
No kidding... and if a bullfrog had wings... well I'm sure you know the rest. When Bill said Fla. or SC to crush the nuts, I'm sure he meant USC... but with what showed up for the Bucks, South Carolina could have done it too.
Now if Custer had just met them Indians 6 weeks earlier....

Guys you are right.. if they had played 6 weeks ago, it might have been different.... the gators might have rung up another 34 points in the 2nd half like they did in the first.. but they didn't need to do that to a nice buncha guys who took a sound defeat without making excuses... unlike some of their fans who are still insisting to anyone who will listen that "we are really still number one and the best in the nation". Pitiful....

If you'd read you'd see everyone gave credit to the Gators and said we were outplayed and outcoached but you are the one who is insistant about claiming how the SEC is better than any other conference among other BS ramblings. Give me break. Show a little humility in your victory or a little class if nothing else.Larry G wrote:Guys you are right.. if they had played 6 weeks ago, it might have been different.... the gators might have rung up another 34 points in the 2nd half like they did in the first.. but they didn't need to do that to a nice buncha guys who took a sound defeat without making excuses... unlike some of their fans who are still insisting to anyone who will listen that "we are really still number one and the best in the nation". My goodness Larry G, did you have some bad experiences in Ohio or with Ohio State? You seem very bitter! Florida was definitley the better team and deserves to be #1, good for them. I know alot of Ohio State fans (including myself), have a sister going for her doctorate degree there right now (many members of my family are alumni), and I'm not hearing alot of excuses or whining, just disappointment. Ohio State is rich with football tradition, they'll be back.

Sound like nice folks, and I bet they are not still trying to find some way to prove it was all a fluke and OSU is the center of the football universe. For the rest, those NC Tee shirts can be used for shop rags, dog beds, or just drying those tears, and the excuse shirts are being printed now and they will go fast!

Hey Larry, you are the kind of guy that says "I told you so" after the fact, huh...
The kind of guy that when a favorite loses, you bash the favorite and jump on the underdog bandwagon...
The kind of guy that has no friends and got beat up a lot in school
OSU lost, got outplayed and I hate to say it, outcoached this time...but for crying out loud, let it go dude. Florida deserves #1 ranking and I think most if not all OSU fans agree...I sure do.

Read the thread, man, you will see who the bashers are... crybaby, high school playbook, yada yada... then all the weak excuses... too much time off, coach blew it, Heisman jinx, other team beat us with luck and coaching, best player sprained his ankle, etc. etc. it's all there. The coach and his athletes are not losers... you chicken$hit fans who can't admit you got beat fair and square are... and where I am from we don't have fighting in school
