Finally after several years of trying I can call myself a "Professional Beagler." Redtick said it with his own words, if you compete in a PKC beagle hunt then you must be a professional. Well Saturday morning I had had all the deer hunting that I could take so I decided to drive three hours to Ohio to a PKC H&H event with $100 added purse. I looked in all the magazines and found that there was one UKC hunt, one NKC(LP) hunt and one PKC (H&H) hunt that day. All though the UKC hunt was much closer I decided to support a program that I hope some day takes off like the coon hound program has. Putting my money where my mouth is, not like others that post about this subject. I pull up and there is one thats right "one" truck in the parking lot and there are only 10 minutes to closing. I wondered what the hell is going on here, this is where rabbit dogs prove that they are rabbit dogs by showing me the rabbit. But not one other person showed up and that was an added purse hunt too. I was hunt director at two added purse hunts for small pack, one drew 33 dogs and the other 75. I have never been to another hunt where the MOH or hunt director had to worry about having enough hounds to even run the hunt. I know, I know he will never go to one as long as there are two sets of rules, but this was his kind of hunt. Don't debate me with the SS program or the Futurity and so on, because the way this program (PKC both sets) are going that will never be an option anyway. I will say that there have been about 6 or 7 PKC small pack hunts and I have been to all of them but one, and I was also the hunt director at all of them that I have attended, were they my clubs? NO, but I was there to help and support not tear down. ( I know I don't support that program either, even though I have put 2 of them on myself and put up the added money out of my pocket) and we have never had an issue of no one showing up, the lowest turnout I can remember without going back to my records is 13. Still a small turnout but far better than 2. Did I enjoy myself on Saturday, you bet I did because I went to have fun and support something that I love. Did I win, NO! Matter of fact he looked good to begin with but it went downhill from there and I ended up withdrawing before the 2 hours was up and did a little bit of training on the spot. Still trying to accomplish that "Professional" level that is so much talked about. But who knows I may never make it, but I will keep trying and make no excuses why I did or didn't make it.

I have asked you once and I will ask you one more time before things get ugly. DO NOT INVOLVE ME IN YOUR CHILDISH BEHAVIOR! You don't have a clue what went on back in the beginning of this PKC thing. But you come on here and try to make it sound like I was the only one backing small pack and I gave bad advice to PKC. First of all since you have no clue and are passing on lies, plain lies. Nothing worse than a liar! I will explain to you and others how I got involved with PKC.
I, like you decided to go to the first PKC beagle hunt in Lynville. I had nothing to do with it to this point. Keith Buse and his fellow club members put the hunt on and "drafted" the first set of small pack rules. So, PKC not Craig Tull decided on what program they were going to try and make a go of it with. After that first successful hunt I got a phone call from Keith Buse asking if I would be interested in sitting on a rules committee seeing at the first hunt there were way too many grey areas in the printed rules that they were running by, because and only because I cared and wanted to see this thing take off I said yes. Well several months went by and the trailing season was fast approaching and no meeting had ever taken place. Up until this point I had been a very vocal voice for PKC at other hunts and gatherings, so others that were interested started calling me and asking what was going on, I wasn't in charge and never had been asked to be in charge, but I did go ahead and take the bull by the horns and try to make something happen by contacting PKC. After several calls from PKC wanting my help, I put together a group of knowledgeable houndsman that knew what a dog needed to be to become a champion. I called upon people like Sam Wells, Gabe Stockton, Earl Bruner, and Shannon Way to help since they all were interested parties and had been to the very first PKC hunt and wanted to help. Why were these people asked and not others? One thing I wasn't going to ask any of my close "friends" not because they don't know beagles but to try and keep people like you that don't have anything good to say about anything but themselves, from citing the negative instead of the positive that would come from them. Second, if you know any of these guys, which I doubt you do since you don't travel anywhere but close to home, they carry quite an impressive record in the beagling world with what they have accomplished in the field and on the circuit. It was a combination of these men along with Steve Fielder and Larry Meeks that came up with the now printed rules of PKC Small Pack, not just the bad advice of Craig Tull, he was only one voice in that conference room at PKC headquarters. Why wasn't Dave Haugh invited? At that time I didn't know you from Adam, but those at PKC did and they were not in favor of you being any part of any decision for their program. I guess they knew enough about competition beagles that they knew you didn't have anything positive to add. So for as far as the statement "As for Craig Tull and PKC, he was one of them that had the worthless Small Pack rules implimented by PKC and then doesn't support them." Again you have no clue to what you are stating, but thank god others see right through you. As far as I am concerned I don't care if one or the other takes off, if it doesn't get some support from PKC because there are plenty of other playing arenas that one can support and I can and will do that. Dave just get the facts right before running your mouth because I for one can and will say " I have heard you enough". I feel like I could write all your post for you as they all say the same thing. Instead of being part of the problem why don't you become part of the solution!

WELL,,, I have sat here reading and reading some more,its funny I haven`t read a DANG word about REDTICKS hounds EVER winning or of REDTCK being at a Hunt or Trials,, I bought a hound a few years ago from a ole boy, he told me his neighbor would site on the computer giving advise and telling all kinds of stories and he hasn`t owned a hound in a LONG TIME,,

3 years later.What a fun journey it has been.I am happy that I have finally moved you a little closer to the truth.The problem with being a liar is that you have to keep up with the lies which you arent able to do.I remember your posts about the line of beagles that you and your kennel partner have raised for 20 years.I remember thinking then that it was funny that even though you were active in UKC in your area none of those hounds seemed to be.I remember hearing about Cricket and cheyenne and the mornning star dog. I forget which one was the trashrunning,gunshy, but you sold it anyway dog.All of those dogs are dogs you bought already running but nothing from this alleged line that you have haqd for 20 years was doing anything.I guess we now know it was because they didnt exist.So you basicly have never raised a beagle from your kennel that has accomplished anything in the field and you have the nerve to get on the computer and downgrade the accomplishments of others and their hounds.I guess it is easier that way than going out and doing something yourself.I could qoute several more lies that you have told but I think most understand by now.As far as your accomplishments with coonhounds I think that is great but what I have asked you about here is beagles.Turns out you havent really done much.I have talked to several coonhound guys about you which is where I first heard the name hootie.Most either laughed at you or felt sorry for you.I didnt detect any jealousy.I heard many stories including the one about you asking someone to remove their dog from treeing so you could take a photo of just yours.I also watched at the first PKC hunt to see how those folks reacted to you.It sure didnt appear to me like those people thought much of you considering how long you have been in PKC.I had never heard of Craig's name in connection to doing anything organizationaly with PKC until after that first hunt.turns out that he didnt get involved until that time.however you took it on yourself to spread lies.I think that reveals your true charactor.I remember how you tried to say he was a member of the same ARHA club that the judge was who judged our cast at that first PKC hunt.That was another lie.Then you implied that that judge cheated for him.Another lie.My dog was second in that cast.You may have been 3rd.I got beat ,you got beat,end of story.If anything shady would have went on I would have said something then and there not post crap on the computer later like you did.You have implied that BEV and Ralph got involved in UKC because of you.Again simply not the truth.You have said that PKC got involved with beagles because of your lobbying ,yet another lie.you have said the people who set up the first hunt didnt know anything about beagles or rabbithunting or PKC,yet another lie.I think I am starting to see a pattern here.

As far as PKC goes I wished it would take off.Who doesnt like the idea of winng big cash prizes or maybe a new truck.I wish them all the luck in the world.I met Larry Meeks and liked him alot.I figure anyone who can build a trucking company to the point he has ,can build a beagling program.If PKC got to the point in its beagling program that it is in it's coonhound program then prices on beagles would go up.Forwhatever reason it hasnt taken off.I have talked to several who had a great degree of trouble in even getting info from PKC.I know I couldnt even get them to give me my subscription to the Rabbithunter magazine that was part of becoming a member of PKC.They said they would send me a voucher or something similar.It never happened .After calling twice I gave up.I am not that big a fan of the Rabbit hunter anyway so it wasnt that big of a deal.If the people who were trying to have hunts met with similar problems though I can see where that gets discouraging. Again I am not saying that this is why PKC hasnt grown but I see where that might be a problem .I hope for thier sake and for the sake of beagling and hunting in general that they are successful.
Now you finally admit that the reason you wont bet is that you are afraid of getting beat.Pretty much what I thought all along .You think that in a two hour cast with two judges that a mediocre dog might win.I guess it is possible but I dont have the experience with mediocre dogs that you do.But least you finally came clean about your fear though.That means alot to me and gives you back just a little bit of credibilty in my eyes.

Why don't one of you guys put on a PKC hunt and just donate the $1000.00 as an added purse.....Dave would have to come run against you then!
We're looking at putting on a PKC hunt, we're kinda' central between Kentucky and big dave's! Even with out the added purse maybe we could talk Dave into running against you guys then.....or if for some reason he won't run as a pro.... we could do it at our next UKC hunt....Dave vs. the Mafia....... sounds fun, we might be able to scratch up a judge that won't budy judge, but it's hard to say....we're not pro.'s, at least until we hold our first PKC hunt.

I want it to be my thousand against his.I figure if a man can do that then at least he believes in his dogs..
However If you want to hold what I am now calling "The Great Redtick Challenge" where Redtick runs against any of the various dogs I have offered to run against him then you are welcome to be the host.We will run it with PKC hound and Hunter rules and you can find the judges.However if he wont even run in his home area then I am sure he wont run in yours.
Do keep us up to date on your upcoming PKC hunt.I might make it up that way.I am not familiar with Jasonville but like the running around Boonville alot.As a matter of fact I might be hunting up that way tomorrow.

Now you went and did it J. LOL! I could write a several page book on some of Redtick's antics. I know several people down in his area that range from neighbors, club members, guys he hunts with and just some average Joe's off the street that have told me numerous stories. I see no use in posting them because I would just have to listen to how im a liar and such. I also think most everyone can see right through him anyway. Now we are going to have to see him cry about how everyone is attacking him and im sure it will be my fault because im a moderator and that type of posts shouldnt be allowed to stay on the board blah blah blah....(just like he stated to Todd on the UKC board just before he was banned).

By the way did you champion your Pedde dog or did you buy him already championed, I know we have had this discussion before but isnt all your champions boughten and not trialed by you?

If you all want to start a discussion about PKC's beagle program, let's start a thread and I will surely post on it. I have alot to say about it. And, better yet, let's do it on PKC's board. They run a well run board there but I doubt if some of you would be allowed to make many posts on there.
I have never posted about anyone's dogs. I have offered opinions on the value of certain unamed registry's Champions but those are just my opinions and folks can decide for themselves. I have never said my dogs are perfect. I have never said my videos are perfect. I have never said I am perfect.
There are some OLD Redtick bashers from way back on this thread. Anyone with any common sense can see the jealousy some folks have towards me.
This thread was stated about Beagles On TV. Some have turned it into a Redtick bashing contest. Do you reckon they don't have much else to talk about?
I go hunting almost every day this time of the year, usually twice a day, once in the day, once at night. Some days, I go hunting 3 different times a day. I am lucky, I have some good Champions to hunt. Most folks don't. I often carry a camcorder instead of a gun. Who knows, maybe I will get one of my videos on TV? I am betting I will be getting some checks in the mail from fellows buying my videos. Most likely, the bashers won't be getting any checks in the mail. If all you can do is bash me or launch personal attacks, I will be scolling over your posts. It is time to go to another topic, so I won't be opening this thread again. Nuff said.

I would love to start a discussion on PKC's board about idea's and questions I have for their beagle program, but I'm not going to pay $25.00 annualy to be a member of PKC just so I can use their message board.... You have to pay to use it! If I can get all my questions answered.... then maybe I'll want to be a paid member.....but I ain't gonna' pay $25.00 out of my pocket just to use their message board.

You have inspired me to make a video, and it is in the works, mine will be a little different than yours tho I do my videoing from the field not the road. And I am trying to put together alot of gunning footage, I think people like to see the end of the race, kinda like show me the rabbit.
I am pretty sure you have been seeing my post on where I have been hunting with the dogs and gunning.
Did you know most of those dogs in the pictures are either champs or grands in the division that you complain so much about.
Just goes to prove they can show you the rabbit and lots of them, be nice if you would bring your dogs out here and I will do a video of mine and yours together running a rabbit for everyone on the internet to see.
Bring some of those champs other people have created and see how they compare to these champs or grands.
You can even stand in the road.
