Breaking from running deer

You guys get a kick out of that fight or flight syndrome huh. That's because you never have experianced it.
Phillip: How does a shock collar get a hound to leave a hot line with no commands given the first time the hound is ever shocked?
Well I see you guys have run out of constructive ideas and are now to the silly stage. doesn't take much to get you guys there.

Joe,
I just tell it like it is, I am to simple for your beagle intelligence.
I just put the collars on my dogs and go hunting.
If I had to spend as much time as you do analyzing dogs and their behavior, I would probably find something else to do.
I have trained bird dogs, coon dogs and now beagles, and as far as I am concerned the e-collar is the best training tool on the market.
Maybe we should start a new post to see what everyone else thinks the best training tool is for hunting dogs.
You have helped us all Joe,
but not near as much as my new 3 dog unit has. lol

I don't know Joe, I don't claim to know everything, maybe it's brains from already being conditioned to the collar. Maybe not! What makes one leave a hot line with no shock collar on but leaves when another dog in the pack gets shocked? Maybe brains. Joe it's not hard to get silly with some of the off the wall comments that you make. If you come up with some kind of proof that you know something about shock collars then we might take you seriously. However I doubt it!! It's been fun!
Phillip: I know you don't know. So the fact is you don't know if I'm right or wrong because, well, you don't know. Isn't it odd that you can have such a strong oppinion on something that you've admitted a couple of times that "you don't know". The problem with having a strong opinion about something that you don't know is you'll never know. I will bet this isn't the only thing in beagling that you have strong oppinions about but, you don't know.
Swing: A jack of all trades. Careful though you know what the rest of that old saying is.

The best training tool for hounds......the handler himself if he has any sense at all!! Anything else just facilitates the handler/trainer. You can talk about e-collars, shaking, etc. It all comes down to one thing, the trainer. That's who ultimately ruins a dog if it gets ruined. Some dogs become great in spite of the trainer, not because of him. The more you know...the more you realize you don't know!! Never stop learning and training!
If you can't run with the BIG DOGS stay on the porch!
Joe there's a lot I don't know but I will admit it. I don't think I'm God and know it all like the mighty Joe does. I'd be a rich man If I could buy you for what your worth and sell you for what you thought you are worth.!
You haven't made one statement that you could provide any proof of and want to tell someone else they don't know something. Why should I try to answer one of your questions when You don't know aht your talking about in the first place. There's scincetific data to prove your wrong but you can't understand what is going on so you try to fill the rest of us full of your bull. So that means you don't know but want admit it. Folks I'm sorry but this guy is off his rocker.

Phillip: The proof is right before your eyes. All I can do is point to it. If you don't WANT to see it you won't.
Incidentally I was merely agreeing with you when you stated you didn't know.
Since you guys are out of anything constructive and have sunk to wise cracks and name calling I'm through with you. INcidentally that's how one tells if someone is up on their subject. If they are they have constructive points to emphisise. If they aren't they have no concrete ammunition and MUST resort to wise cracks and name calling out of frustration because they have nothing else. Have a good one.

Joe,
Thats a new one, I have been called alot of things but never a jack of all trades.
But come to think about it I guess I am.
But you know what Joe, I still consider myself an average JOE, and I have alot to learn about training dogs and if you think you have it figured out, you also still have alot left to learn.
You don't ever see me on here tooting my horn on how much I know about beagles, matter a fact someone who does that kinda turns my stomach, and usually when you see someone doing that, that means they know nothing and are fishing for information.
Have a good day.

Yes Joe, I see the truth! I see it loud and clear. I think most everyone on here does, that's why most disagree with you as strongly as they do. I've enjoyed it and had hoped you might have some proof of the statements you made but was told you wouldn't have and would dodge direct questions on such subjects as you always do. Just because YOU say it don't make it true. Good hunting to you Joe.

Swing, you crack me up!!
Joe I know you don't trial your dogs but I think you do sale a few, seems I read a contract about how a buyer has to treat a dog bought from you?
I just can't understand why some of the dogs you have sold have not made f.c. or have they?
I don't much like talking to a person that talks down to me and other people, you need to let go and have some fun like other people. Feed what you like and train them like you like.

laal: I don't beleive any of our hounds have ever made field champion. However since we don't field trial except for one or sometimes two a year and we sell hunting hounds and advise people who contact us that are looking for field trial stock to seek out a breeder that breeds for the specific type of trial that they are interested in I don't think that is surpriseing. Incidentally we never measure a hounds ability by a tittle. There are lots of hounds with the title of F.C. that would not suit me or you.
Well its 1:00 in the morning and I am wide awake because my darn Goldfish are fighting and they make such a ruckus, I can't sleep. 2 weeks ago they kept me up all night fighting over who gets to sleep under the shell and which one was the smartest fish in the school. Sometimes I think they are not really fighting about who gets to sleep under the shell, but instead have other issues they won't talk about. I think part of it is ego and pride and lack of diplomacy, but I am not sure. If something don't change soon, I may just get them seperate bowls. Oh heck, I'm on the wrong board! Sticks float! They wood!
