Mark Hatmaker in Kentucky has a red male by the name of Skyview Cliff and that Joker can straight out fly. I saw him at the world hunt in the grand champion class and he has blistering speed.

hey big dog, cliff belongs to barney marks father-in law but they go under the same kennel name, they are in Harrogate, Tn. Barney, myself and my son gun hunted cliff, and two of my bitches and Barneys Candy dog last year it was awesome shooting at them bunnies was a challenge, my two bitches can hang with him pretty good but they have similar running patterns ,they're not too slow and will cheat when they need to but thats the way I like them!!

I don't feild trial, there aren't any in MN so I haven't seen the number of dogs run that some of you have. The best hound I ever saw run a rabbit was a female named Sandy that belonged to a good friend of mine. She was born and bred here in MN. Every time I saw her run, none of the other dogs could stay with her. We run hare and sometimes we turn loose 10 or 15 dogs. She would have them all spread out and only the fastest ones could even stay on the same rabbit, the rest dropped out and found another rabbit to run. I was lucky enough to get a few females out of Sandy and one of them is starting to show her mothers speed and control. Her name is Rose and when she locks on to a hare she can fly. I've seen her do things I didn't think were possible. When running is good I've seen her coming at a dead run barking every breath with her head up and then it's like something hooked her nose, the rest of her body whips around and she is off going the other direction without hardly missing a bark.
I'd love to see some of these other dogs you've mentioned run. Maybe I need to get out more.

Thanks for squaring me away Lynn, He is mostly Northway and Sock it to me bred. With that cross you should get size and hunt. Northway dogs run big and Sock it to me dogs do also so you have to be careful or lucky when making a cross or you are gonna get some big uns.

Let’s not forget the walker Brother’s World champion Blue two. I was on a Semi final cast at the world with him and a Blue Skim Hound I don’t think a cottontail can be run any faster with accuracy those two hound were turning on the line like a quarter horses cutting cattle and lightning fast.

Big Dog, There was a fellow that lived just across the border in Canada that had 2 males that were SCORCHERS!! Northway Oliver Cromwell and Northway Storman Norman. Oliver was by Northway Spur and Birch Lake Mrs T and Norman was by Northway Driver and Mrs T. I belong to a Club with him and they could smoke a hare. They were equally awesome on fox. I believe they both died last year. Seems to be a connection with the speed and the Birch Lake hounds. Mark Trudell

Whiteriver Rasin Cane is the fastest track hound I've seen,he has the brains to be fast. Mountain Music Nitro Rex the fastest dog under a year I've ever owned or seen, and he runs a great line, both hounds have smarts. I sold a hound to a guy in ARK. that was out of Syrus that would split a line and is very fast,Salt Lick Dexter. I don't think theres very many as fast as Cane though the hound is FAST,FAST,FAST.

Spade beat my dog Gray Valley Smacker II in the second round of the Little World 140 to 135. So I can tell you first hand that he is fast...
Arrowhead Kennels..................... A friend of mine now owns Sting and I have run with him several times. A good dog but not quite as strong as Spade or Smacker.......................
