A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
I'm not positive but I think the guys name is Byron Bigelow. The absolute best judge I've ever seen. Not that I haven't seen quite a few other good judges, but this guy just works his but off to stay w/ the dogs and does a fair job.
In our area, a few comes to mind. Tom Kitzmiller is my pick. He'll call a spade a spade. Also, the Tripletts, father Steve, and son Mathew. I can remember Matthew coming to the hunts just as a young tyke, and now he is in college. They can judge mine anytime and I would never question their decision.
I haven't seen too many, but the Hills, Riley Wilson, Shorty Head, Ted Peercy, Bubba Suttler, Kenneth Putnam, Brad Ford, David Johnson, and Gabe Stockton do a extra good professional job that impressed me.
i would have to agree with you guys i would have to say Jay Hershberger, Ervin Yoder, Forest and Mitchell Kerns, Kevin Monroe, Sam Wells, and My brother in law Josh Long are the best judges i have seen
I'm Old enough to know better but still to young to care
What about father and sons or daughters for that matter judging. I've got a son who'll be turning 15 soon and he can hardly wait till he's another year older so that he can judge. I hope he makes me proud. Anybody else out there know of two or more generations still judging. Off the top of my head is Steve and Mathew Triplett. Both do an excellent job
what do you mean by just ask dale peters???? are you saying that they cheat for dale or simply cheat dale???????if you are going to say that they cheat for dale or simply cheat him then atleast you could sign your name when you make a comment like that!!!!!!!!!!!
Dale Peters is one of the best guys you will ever meet! You have no idea what you are talking about. If Dale thought for a second that someone was cheating for or against him, he would raise a stink on the spot! You could atleast have the nads to sign your name if you're going to make a statement like that.
I don't know these guys names but a few years ago when the Grand National was in Tennesse there was a group of young guys from Kentucky. Wow! They could run up and down those hills like nothing. Not only could they stay with the dogs, they knew dogs, they knew the rules and how to apply them. I wish I could remember their names.
