Always owned 13" but feeling sorry for those little dogs hunting all day with all the equipment around their necks. Jumped to 14" dogs hoping they can handle equipment better yet not to big to get through brush pile.

The fastest dog I have personally seen is 14 inches tall.. and I have seen plenty of slow 15 inch hounds too..

15 I run a lot at night and for long stretches. Some smaller dogs can run with them all night but it takes a special one.

I know a lot of guys that look for the 15+ in the classifieds.

I like a 13 incher. Just what I've always ran. I've had some little dogs that would run big dogs into the ground, but I believe it just depends on the dog. Good ones in both classes. It's just what the individual prefers.

Don't matter what size as long as they get the job done in my opinion.

I like a 13 inch hound. Seems like all our good jump dogs have been small, maybe they fit in those briars better!

I like a 14 inch hound because they can work through heavy brush, tall weeds, deep snow at a fairly fast pace.
