We know that our beagles will make a lie out of us as soon as we brag on them that is why I just say he/she hasn't taken one yet.

I run 6/8 hounds at a time,no colars, and do not carry a leash. I work these houneds 3/4 days or nights a week. Every one I hunt with can verify this. They are a pleasure to hunt and handle, I use a fox horn to move my hounda and call them in to load. (PATCH) I`ve laughed at the guy`s I`ve hunted with on drummond, we would
be in a mile or more comeing out, them leading 4 and more dogs getting tangled up in brush.I walk mine out no shocking or nothin :D .

Chuck, I think the key is "3/4" days or nights a week working with them. Years ago I owned a pack of foxhound walkers that I never had to touch to load at the pen or in the field. I spent a lot of time with them. Those days are gone for me so electronics are essential now. I still don't use a lease though to get them out of the woods - they are beeper trained.
By the way, good to hear from you. Met you in SC and enjoyed it. Maybe we can hunt together again some time. Bobby
