speed is not always a good thing,iam tring to get some new dogs and slow my pack down some,i like to be around a 6,7 in speed steady and smooth.I like them dogs on video i think there speed is 5

Here's a question dem dogs in da first video dat was posted if da rabbit jumps over a log does all.dem hounds stay on one side barking wid.der noses touching one another or will.day jump.over da log and contiune running da rabbit????

Anyways. Those slower medium dogs will put more cottontails in the bag than any faster dogs out there. Take a look at joeymans video. His dog run a medium clean speed and he kills more rabbits then anyone.
Its all about what you like.

I agree that lots of people are breeding for a faster and faster dog, those fast dogs are running there owners out of a rabbit. All though I said marks dogs are a little too conservative for me I am not a speed demon, I like them upper medium a 6 or 7, as long as they can run a rabbit and stick to it. I'll take a faster dog that can run without creating checks. The problem is I haven't seen many dogs run that fast and be very close and smooth.....Just My opinion.....DH

Unfortunat ely in todays atmosphere a lot of people are breeding for speed with no control
and calling it accomplishment over style
accomplishment over style does not eliminate line control by any means as I see it
A lot of those so called accomplishment over style dogs need a pack to run with
one working off the other Run them alone and there is NO accomplishment
Just my humble opinion , and I am entitled to that
