man that sucks, people just arent honest these days.if they wanna move a dog they will tell you anything you wanna hear.i learnt the hard way myself.if i cant watch them run before buying a trial period is a must for me.i hope that you can at least get him going to see if he is worth fooling with.

The dog was only $150 and 3 1/2 hr drive but price and distance were never my first concerns as you guys know from talking to me. Its my own fault for not watching the dog run and went against my better judgment and will never buy another dog before watching it run or the parents run if its a pup. This is exactly why I stopped buying dogs and went to my own line breeding, This dog should have been evaluated before selling him as a started dog or even saying he would run with other dogs. Honestly if I wanted a unstarted dog I would not have bought one that is 1yr 7m old, I would have bought one at 8 weeks and started it myself.
Dont jump on me, hes not my dog nor has he ever been. All i did is make him available for you to pick up. I saw him once in a starting pen and he ran the hare but not very well. i told you that. I know brandon told you he was a risk, thats why he was cheap.

When I saw that you put you were gonna make this dog rabbit crazy and being 19 months gave me a reason to believe this post might make a turn for the worse. I hope you continue line breeding your own stuff. Remember if it isn't broke it don't go fixing it!

Good luck with the unstarted pup.

What I was told by you 2 days prior to getting him was you was going to run him that night and you did. When you got back you told me he ran with your dogs but was all over the line. Well this dog wont even go with one other dog or take a second sniff at a rabbit track so how can he can be all over on the line when he dont run at all?. If you didnt run him then all you needed to do was say so and then it would have been my fault for not running him first. You are right it wasnt your dog ever but you said you seen him in action and he ran 2 days prior to pick up, so whats the story?. I probably never would have put this out there but you asked if I ran him so I told you what the deal is.

That was when I actually thought he would atleast run some tracks to get crazy for them. I have put my time into him thats for sure. I have my oldest female in heat right now and she is breeding to her half grandson so I should have some thing to work with in a few months. It wouldnt be so bad if my wife wasnt right

he did run with my dog. he wasnt taking the scent, he was all over the place and probably just running just to run. he was in the pup pen with my other pup and both ran the hare. your expectations for a dog thats $150 are outragous. You were told by brandon this dog was a risk. you took the risk. I even told you i was part of a club you could come watch it run. Your fault for not taking the extra hour to drive to the pen. you seem to just keep buying dogs and culling them because they dont fit your needs, just breed your own and stop complaining.

and for the record, save your money and buy something worth a darn. it took me time to figure that out but i forked out 1500 for the dog i have. i watched him run and he was worth it. now hes close to finishing and hes being bred in my own kennel to continue that line. keep buying dogs for 300 or less and you get what you pay for. a good dog is worth the 1000-1500 range.

If 9 days and 50 hrs isn't gonna get another dog to pack up and run with the other dogs, then I don't think another six months with other dogs will do anything either. Beaglerof4 didn't say the dog was shy, so the problem isn't getting to know the new owner and his dogs....

The minute I saw the new blood post, 1 year 7 month old dog that just needs more tracks, I knew it, I said to my self OH BOY! At that age a dog should own the rabbit. Sorry to hear that but, Live and learn.....DH

Dont get me wrong guys I will still work this dog since im stuck with him and wouldnt even be able to give him away as a house dog since he was raised outside but the understanding of him running with other dogs was the problem. I will still try a little longer to make some thing out of him because I want him to work out and he does have proven lines of hounds in his pedigree. I guess im going to look at it as I bought a brand new unstarted puppy instead of a lightly started dog.
