I would have to say Smith's ky mtn. Rudy and Smith's weedeater Tramp are the most dominate dogs that have ever seen a trial.

I run A few hunts but due to my health and age only A few. In the last 10 years I have seen several dogs look good or outstanding that day. But the most consistant dog i have seen run is the Buck dog of Jays. this is A young dog that is making A name fast. He runs out of central Ohio. Roy

Paul Prevot, ( BTAK kennels), Talk About RJ, and Branko's Dinkey Diablo are two of the toughest dogs I've seen. Mark Stump's Weedeater Rudy's Kicker was one of the best in his time, and Johnny Williams had a dog named Lefty that was tough in his time.

I think that the Buck dog passmore is talking about is out of Luke the Drifter. If I have the right dog it belongs to Jay Hershberger. Tough hound saw him run at the ohio state hunt this year. John Davis has a dog that is a canadian bred dog that just made champion Fareast Luke the Drifter. Not the same luke the drifter mentioned above. Watched this dog dominate an open winners pack and put on a clinic of how to jump rabbits. Can take care of the rest of the chase to.

2000 HOY GrRch, Bch Logan Elm Blue Skim - hands down. ;) The dog was the same quality every time you dropped him on the ground. Consistent, excellent rabbit dog with speed and good line.

ohioan

toughest dog.

J.C. Blair,
My line is based on HOF Spicers Blueback. Only person I had ever spoke to who saw him run was Bert Spicer. I would sure like to hear a little about him from an independant source.

I kinda fell into this line and so far I have been happy. I have a Grandson of Blueback and Spicers Ginger (winner illinois state hunt and the nationals)

I am going to be breeding his daughter which has Blueback on both sides back to her grandfather who is a son of Blueback and Ginger. I guess that leads to another question will this breeding be to tight?

Sammy, I certainly understand that. You have a dog that wins his division in the World Hunt, then two years later his son wins his division in the World Hunt. Don't know that it's ever been done before or since. I'd be a little partial, too.

That's cool. I remember the year Bomber won the champions, Boadie won the Grands and Rocky placed second behind him. WTG Loagan Elm Kennels!
