Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected. Wish everyone the best. Things like this make us appreciate living in the mountains of Eastern Ky. Wish I was able and had the opportunity to go and help! Take care down South!

Things like this make us appreciate living in the mountains of Eastern Ky.

I use to say the same about the mountains of Va. We had an F3 tear apart our town and kill quite a few people.

Please donate if you can. We just got power back. All we had was some roof damage. It was the scariest thing EVER.

it was bad here around my area, my dad's home had tree fall onto hit, busted rafters, lost shingles, blew roof off dog pens, alot of 24"-48" oak trees down, sister lives across road from lost 90% of shingles, all underpinnind from trailer, my home had one large limb fall onto house, removed alot of shingles, lost 30-40 (24"-60") oak trees. tornado crossed raod about 250 yards from my driveway completely destroyed 3 mobile home and 1 young guy (24 years old) lost his life.
My wife was home alone as i had left at 3:30 am to help my father with his damage (lives across county 15 miles) and when my son arrived after school to help us, my wife called and said she had tornado coming staight at our home, we left there trying to get back to her but it was on top of her quickly, my cousin made to my house in time for see trees being blown down and when he stepped outside of his truck at my house a shovel blew right between him and truck, made into my home and had to ride it out.

we were very Blessed to not have more damage but young Cortez lost his life in this bad storm.
