Anybody tried this??? AKC registering non AKC dog Rules?

it takes 2 weeks for them to get back to you. touchtone has the process right. bar none, if there is unknown area that cant be proven in the pedigree you wont get it done. also if you make it easy for them and do some research to prove to them your dog it will make thing alot easier. lastly, it seems like a one shot deal, have as much proof that your dog has unbroken linage as possible. if they say they cant do it for you its hard to change their mind. i got 3 of mine done and a litter of pups , my friend wasnt so lucky.

Yes I got my dog registerd with AKC it was a piece of cake. I didn't reply in this thread because I think i made my own thread about it. I'll find it here in a second. post a link to it

I think it's crap. A lot of people keep up with their paper work just fine to show their dogs are who they say they are and now you can pay a few extra bucks and reg anything you want. If you want akc dogs get akc dogs to start with. JMO.

I had to scan my dogs Reg. papers. Showed her sire and dam. She was reg thru APRI. I scanned it and faxed it to them. Everything checked out. All the dogs in her ped are AKC dogs.

Its not what you think. You have to show them proof. they have their own research department just for this purpose. I doubt they'll let any old dog slip thru.
