02-05-11 Rabbit Hunting in waste deep snow. Hit 300+ rabbits

You can use my Rocky dog if you want. He has always been a brush dog par excellence. He is 10 and starting to slow down, but I have never owned a better jump dog.

His only "fault" is he believes he MUST be the first in line and will take short cuts to get to the head of the pack. He now overruns his nose and causes checks, but I have never owned a dog that didn't lose the rabbits some.

He is a small dog.

300 rabbits! That is awesome. I would probably have to shoot 1,000 times to kill that many! I don't thimk there are that many rabbits in Putnam county. I would love to hunt in that part of the country some day.
