My two bitches are Rangerdan Grandpups. I would think most would be grandpups, But there are still some direct off spring of Dan who are getting up in age. When your talking about Rangerdan bred or any other breeding for that matter I would think you would be talking about direct offsprings, grand pups and any further back then that I would think multiple crosses or some line breeding. You don't see much line breeding with Rangerdan I think becouse most folks were told that doubling up on and line breeding with the dan stuff resulted in mouthy dogs. I know by looking at some of the Wingate dogs that some have multiple crosses of dan. Some are line bred Wingates Brandon who was Grandsire of Dan and I've been told they are not mouthy what so ever....DH
Here's Annie. Great Grampas on top are Stryker and Stine Time Oops-A-Chase and on bottom are Ranger Dan And Stryker. Her Grandpas are Wookie on top and Shooter on the bottom
She's heading for 14 months. She was 11 in this pic.
Not sayin she's the fastest hound out there, but she's faster than anything I ever ran with. But she dont go till she bounces off the fence. She doesnt over run a check by more than a body length. She needs more tracks under her to clean up her work in the check area. She gets pretty excited and will reach out at times. On the other hand I have seen her make some nice 90 degree turns. I need to run her with an older hound of like speed to clean her up a little. I think she'll be everything the Dan & Stryker line are boasted for. At 15 1/2" she's not trialable, but we'll sure have good times hunting and at fun runs!
Here are 2 clips of her. The 1st one is at 4 mos. 10 days. She opens up for the 1st time.
The second one is at 11 mos. She completed circles her 1st rabbit. We lost alot of track time between 4 & 11 mos due to a particularly nasty winter.
By the way sbadger was the breeder. Macky Boy x Bartons Rose Mary Wine
She can be a little mouthy in the check, but not always. Alot of people have told me that will happen less and less as she progresses. Its my fault she isnt further along than she is. Everything has been against me when it comes to run time with her. A bad winter (for a new pup), a hot summer. 3 weeks of gout in my ankle and knee. And to boot, the lake where we run in the summer is full of blue-green algea containing neurotoxins that has already killed several pet dogs, numerous birds, and has made several people very ill. I wont be running them there for awhile........
She looks just like her Mom tall and long Bartons Rosemary Wine out of Green Bay Shooter,Sire Kettle Creek Mackey Boy out of Wookie andTesters Lilly Lacy out of Stines Time Oops A Chase. Rose had good hunt and Mack wasd a rabbit monster tour the woods apart looking he didn t what to quit
