Depending on if I have any that are ready to run I might be there but would like to come just to hang out with some good fellow beaglers even if I don't have anything to run!!!

Sounds more and more like this "fun run" is a competition. When I have a shotgun in my hands I am not concern about what dog is on front or who is picking up the checks. I a. There to shoot a few rabbits. I will say this I hope there are some lock on dogs there. I hate see a bunch of dogs losing the track because they are fighting for the front.

One thing I am concerned about is jump shooters and not letting the rabbit circle. Will there be a rule on that? How many hounds will be on the ground at the same time and how many hunters per hunting party?

ok guys...we havent laid down any rules just yet!!!...i...like everyone else am and will be concerned about the safety of my hounds and everyone elses hounds!!!...so from the beginning of the meet...we will all sit down and discuss how we want to do things!!!...that includes ...shooting rules...how many to turn loose...and any thing else that anybody is concerned with!!!!...we will want as much organization as we can get!!!...but at the same time...its all about having fun...meeting good people...and seeing and hearing some good hounds do their thing!!!...i obviously havent seen most of the hounds run...but i know for a fact that there will be some great hounds there!!!...thats what i am looking for...its not about how many i can get to show up...its more about the ones that do show up...bring your best...your fastest...i want my hounds to be ran with the best hounds there is out there!!!!

all i have is 13 inchers!!!!...not sure about splitting up into size classes...i run mine with all comers!!!!...we will just have to see what the crowd wants to do!!!...i am pretty sure it will be an open run!!!...all sizes...male or female!!!...if your 13s are fast...you shouldnt have to worry about bigger hounds!!!...at least 15 inchers!!!...LOL...my 12 and a half inch female will run with the big dogs!!!!...and lead them...most of the time!!!!

Thanks any ways

That's ok Chuck. That leaves my 15 1/4" Green Bay Shooter/ Striker pup out of the race too. It's a good thing we don't put size limitations on human beings.

That just it Gary I don't understand it. Fun run or a rabbit hunt all beagles of every size should be able to join. The more I think about this, the more I see a field trial event lurking in the shadows....

If you start hearing banjo music, you'll have a clue that there's more than a field trial lurking in the shadows. lol.
