Coated wire is the way to go.5 ft 150ft long.last I got.last year 95 dollors a roll. The only thing I can tell you.Don t worrie about putting the fence up.But good luck after you start putting rabbits in it.

Earl, with just the one nail how far apart do you put your posts???

15 ft.Work great.Deer hits it.It just fold over just hook it back.I ve got one pen were three wire on the fence.Top,mid,bottom.Seen like when deer hit it.the wire is all in a mess.I build one around 10 years ago with the one nail but on somebody eles land.I thought well what if they get upset and tell me next year to take up the fence.I thought well I just used one nail. After a year and see how it held up.Man this is the way to build one.And that pen is in good shape.I ve had some to ask will that work just that one nail.Remember we are not putting cows in it.

Hey BC, or Earl

Have you figured a cost amount for that size pen? Or Earl you probaly have a better idea of what that might cost. The reason I am asking i have five acres i want to fence.

Thanks,
Mike :D

I was told it definitely depends on how square it is. More square less fence. Hope this helps.

Earl is talking about what i was about the 1 nail system it really is the way to go cause a deer can do a lot of damage when they hit it, and yes i rounded my corners this time.
Never thought of putting dirt down every 2' but that is a good idea, i wished i had done that cause i have a tractor with a front end loader and it would have made it even easier than the way i went.
I was wondering though, how do you mat your 8' gate where it enables you to drive in and not tare it. This is my first go around with the big gates just had entrance doors which is not enough room when you need to do work on the inside.
