Ha Ha !!! I never thought about BS in such a positive way. We are in the low teens at night and it got up to a balmy 30 today. It does feel warmer without the 30 mile per hour wind gusts. I could have cleaned my pens bare handed the last few weeks.

Laughing at Joeyman. I live in Michigan and cant wait for the first snows of the season for my hounds to run on. I enjoy seeing those brown rabbits on a white background and the sound of hound music echoeing on a cold crisp morning. I used to think as a kid that the hounds needed snow to track rabbits. I thought that, because we never use to run our hounds until we had snow. Then as I got older I realized that was because deer season doesnt go uot until Jan 1.

Come on Joey,your going to make these guys think us Missouri boys are woosies lol.Heck we had 1 here this morning and by noon it was up to 9 so I went rabbit hunting.Isn't so bad after you get out in it.Ran 3 and killed 2 in about 3 hours.Heck, I just turned 57 this past Oct and I can still take it.Don't really enjoy the wind but if the rabbits will run I'll be out there.

I don't know big john suppose to be Zero saturday morning. Who know what the windchill will be plus we are gonna get hit with snow storm they are calling for 4-6inches for us. I may stay in this weekend. I know I'm shocked myself that I said that. Season is in and I'm not going hunting thats rare. I may change my mind. Just depends on how its going to be out there.

Not been to bad, we had 20 deg days and 10deg night, but this weekend they say we loose 10 deg on both ends and the wind she's coming.
The barn lot is firm and the road is dusty, cold and dry. As someone said, "you can clean the kennel by hand"...

Gary, I'm hoping it does finally get back up into the 30's for a little bit. That'll make for some better running and maybe warm enough so I'll feel like putting the trusses up on my dog kennel.

Seriously, if you live in Wisconscin, and want to hunt, what choice do you have? There is not much outdoor recreation in that frozen waste land that doesn't involve ice and snow about three months out of the year. If I lived in that climate I would have the clothes and equipment to enjoy it year round also. I was reared in Lousisiana but have lived in East Tennessee most of my adult life. Moved back to the deep south but didn't like it. I enjoy living in an area that has four seasons. I hate the dog days of summer.
I've had the beagles out this morning and a couple pups in the starting pen to see if they could run on frozen ground.

I can not imagine bringing my 4 year old out, she would like it say for 5 mins then complain. I have mangaged somehow to run the last 4 out of 5 days and or nights, blustery 11 degrees in campton at 730 this am.Cold weather sucks.Never hear of anyone retiring and moving north thats for sure.Had great running last night till the yotes bout got the hounds.Seem to be worse out when its cold , guess its a quick happy meal. I have had better running since the cold snap has hit and snow and dry snow on the ground.

It is 8 this morning. has been the last two mornings. sure is a great way to start a lay-off!!!!! I thought that I might get to hunt little, but just too cold for my little girl to go with me. since I am not working, not going to pay for day care. what is it like for everyone else?

We didnt get above single digits here thursday friday saturday sunday monday. Got up to 18 today felt like a heat wave but back to single digits until Sunday starting tomorow.
