question about young male!!!

jon i have a male that did the same thing wouldnt hunt wouldnt git in the briars. he turned 1 in october so this was his first season after i started giving him the heads he stepped up his game. now he jumps a rabbit and you cant get him out of the thicket. your might just need some more time to mature. i agree dot put him up let him hunt every chance you get

My pups did the same I would pen the male pup with older male and female pup with older female and just run them together 2 at a time they seem to buddy up were the one would go the other would follow done that till they was a year old and still take them out and solo them make them earn it on there own
