I feed the yellow bag 22/16 in the summer months, and the black bag 24/20 during the winter. So far so good. I think the hounds do well on it.

just hit the jackpot... a local tack shop just started carrying it. $21 for 50#. cheaper than the DIAMOND i was getting and better food anyhow.

My only problem with it is the price. I now feed High Standard and have the same results at a better price. But if I'm having trouble getting that I will fill in with the Sportmix........I like it, just a little higher on price.

I buy Sportmix 24/20 for $17.90 tax included... I like it better than Black Gold 26/18 fed it for 10 years but was having consistency problems so i switched to Sportmix.

Where and/or how do you get it for that price??? The cheapest I've found any version of it that I would use for my hunting hounds is like $21.00 per bag.

Just finished up on a ton of The Pride 26/18 I got on sale, lets just say, "it ain't what it used to be", imho...

A few months back a buddy told me about having good results with Sports Mix. I picked up a few bags of 26/18 and loved it. Then I got a call and he told me his dogs were no longer doing well on Sports Mix. Sure enough, the next bag my dogs started looking worse. He talked to a representative who admitted that Sports Mix had changed their recipe. I then switched to Red Flannel High Pro. So far it has been satisfactory.
