I have an owens, by far the nicest box around. I have absolutely no complaints. I added awnings over the doors and vents to better keep out snow and rain. I also got plexiglass to cover the doors with, the covers that come with it let snow blow in, since they are set up with a gap for air. I have the big "T" 38X45 I can put an unbelievable amount of gear in the storage and each side will hold 5 beagles comfortably, or 2 coon/fox hounds. The real nice feature is the top opens from the sides and I can reach anything inside without any trouble

I have a D-Style Diamond Deluxe. Nice box 46" x 46", but it's a honker to try to load by yourself. Was just looking at their prices now. They're about $200 more these days than what I originally paid for mine brand new a couple years ago.

You'd mention you only want a box about 20 or so inches tall so it'd fit under your tonnue cover. If I was in your shoes, I'd probably with a box like this

Then again two stand alone kennel carriers are cheaper than the double box above. If you wanted something more durable there's always the aircraft aluminum type. Best of luck deciding what box you want.

Joey , I know that Bellboxes in Walnut ,MS builds some nice boxes. Mr Bell built one for a guy in Memphis, Tn. to go under his cover. It was great. He framed it out of metal tubing and covered it with fiberglass and he may have divided it in 3 sections for the "I can't get along with anything else dog or I screwed up time when I discover my best female is coming in heat and need to keep her separate from every thing else..

Chip Eisenhut is now selling a new box that looks alot like the box I have thats made out of aircraft alum.. I dont think the company that made my box is in business anymore but I think it is a D-Lux box and it was made down in Sothern Indiana. These boxes are well made, light weight and easy to load.
Here is a link to the boxes Chip is selling. I only see prices for top storage but I bet they make them without.
