It may be gnat bites, but as a wrestling coach who was to inspect kids for ringworm daily it may not hurt to treat the dogs for ringworm. JMO

I AM TELLING YOU MY DOGS HAD IT AND IT WENT AWAY JUST WITH WOUND COAT THE PURPLE STUFF.(in a few hours) IT IS THE SAME THING IN THE SAME SPOT. it really looks like ringworm but it not. being a former high school wrestler i have cought ringworm myself, so i am very familiar with it. in fact it was the first thing i thought of but it just cleared up to fast. ring worm is hard to kill,and very contagis. i watched the dogs and they were going out and laying in the dirt in the back yard. when i would let them in i would notice them on there lower belly just like the pic. so you will see it is not ringworm,but some sort of bite. i dident treat my one dog and it cleared up by it self in 2 days

Ok, if it has a whelp bite mark in the center it could be reaction to a spider bite.
I'd say wound coat has anti fungal/bacterial properties in it also, so it would help clear it up. Works good on hot spots.

Looks like an insect bite to me we get the same thing here from the black flies that are in full bloom right now in the Adirondacks

Try Avon "skin-so-soft" might help. We have the black gnat here and they bite me when I am working in my yard. It makes a bad sore on me for several days.

Looks like ring worm and yes it is passed on to humans my wife got it at a younger age from her collie
