Re: Beagling Courtsey
If I see anyone hunting at a spot I want to hunt and they were their first I will find another place to go. Even if they aren't beaglers I still go somewhere else just for respect to them. When hunting on state land everyone has the rite to hunt anywhere they want on it and even though it is dissrespectfull to do it there is nothing you can do about it. If it happens that much you should find private land to hunt on so you don't run into that problem all the time

Ive seen this same thing happen before, never understood those men? I was deer hunting on state ground got into a spot early morning up a tree bow hunting, well i watched this guy come through the woods with his light and this hunter starts to hook his stand to the tree I am up,I say hey this tree already taken, thinkin he will go somewhere else I was wrong, nope he climbs the tree right next to me. I dont understand deer hunters either.
Re: Beagling Courtsey
I have 4 kids and they often will do things that are very rude. My wife and I have a responsibility as parents to correct the behavior and give at least a brief explanation of why the behavior is unacceptable. Hopefully after 18 years they will be curtious to others.
Some hunters didnt have dad's or mom's to show them right from wrong. Unfortunately, many kids are raising themselves. These might have been older guys, but thats still not a guarentee their dad showed them hunting etiquette.
I think Im going to bite my tongue and agree with S R Patch for the first time in 6 years.....
We do have a responsibility to educate and help others in the sport, even if its an inconvienience. I can think of numerous times guys have dropped hounds on me and its always been a learning experience. Sometimes a great laugh, (didnt know a 13" beagle could weigh 50lbs), sometimes a great way to test if your hounds really are deer proof, sometimes it will force you to wash your truck thats overdue anyway because 4 dogs pee on each tire 3 times each.
Keep quiet and let the new hunter do most of the talking, you will find out what you are dealing with in less than 5 minutes, proceed accordingly. Let your dogs do the talking, its funny how after 30 minutes of your dog putting on a show the comments turn to questions......if you have the dog power you know what Im talking about.
