The pup is just more excited than the older dog and hasn't learned to only bark when she has it under control. This is normal if she's just starting. I like to solo them also at this point too. Some dogs have alot of tounge and will let go on any piece of scent they hit. You said there were alot of rabbits around too, so alot of scent also for her to hit. Just keep an eye on her, she should stop what she's doing once she learns how to work a check properly which she doesn't know yet as she's only just starting. It's not like she has been chasing since 5 months old and out 16-20 times since then right? Once started I take them out as much as possible.

Try her by herself for a while if she still remains mouthy i would not fool with her
