Murl, nobody knew. We bought him as a grade dog at age 13 months from a guy who ran Big Pack in Tennessee, and just single registered him in ARHA. It was rumored that he was out of Maple Hill Mollie, but nobody would talk about his sire - all claimed to know nothing. (I'm assuming it was an accidental breeding, and the owner wanted to be sure the pups never got AKC registered.)
There was hare breeding in that dog with the way he was marked up, and the way he ran; nobody can convince me otherwise.

This is a hard one. I've only been trialing since 2002, but I've been hunting since I was a kid. I have hunted behind some of the best dogs a man could ever ask for, but I won't include them in my list because no one could possibly know them. 3 of them would be at the top of this list.
1. World Champion Abshire's Junie(complete package)
2. World Champion Osborn'e Spade(really rough,but awesome rabbit dog)
3. FWR Twin Hills Hawk (only 13 3/4", but a bad a**)
4. FC Hank's Sugar Camp Driver(Great nose, Great Hunt)
5. FC Hill's Primetime Trail Blazer (Very Complete dog great nose)
There a lot of dogs that I have seen run better on certain days, but these dogs do it every day, all day very consistently.

1.FC. New City Cruiser, I've seen him jump the rabbit and run a large circle and not any other dog score against him on the drive, a check, or could run up along side of him.
2. FC. Andy's Clover Patches, Could absolutely stretch dogs out and have them so nervous they would look for him instead of the check. I judged him once and saw him come back and get the check and be leaving by the time the second and third dog got to him.
3.FC. Indian Hills Majer, Could do it all day every day the same way. As a consistent hound as I ever saw run a rabbit.
4.FC. Rabbit Ridge New York Knick, It was great to see him run. He did everything so precise and never all the foolishness and waisted time and energy other dogs do. Just straight and to the point style and ability.
5. FC. Elk Creek Blue Babe, Never saw her run myself but just the describition from some of the Mid-West's best known winners she was a sight to behold. Extreme hunt, speed, correct mouth, check ability.
After 25 years of beagling after being out of trialing for a few years because of not seeing this kind of talent I've been hearing about a few hounds that is sparking my interest again. I'll only say, Good luck Kevin Monroe, Brandon Hill, Lynn Perkins.
God Bless and keep them in the woods.
