Congratulations Bev! We will welcome the SPO folks since whether we prefer close running dogs or windsplitters, we are all still fellow beaglers.

Thanks John, there are as many different styles of hounds running under the SPO rules as there are colors in the rainbow. If they can run a rabbit to the gun, they are all good to me. We beaglers need to stick together, since it looks like very few others will stick up for us these days!

Congrats and best wishes on the acquisition of SPO Magazine Beverley!

I am a subscriber to both magazines (I actually came up with the name for TAB!!) and enjoy both. I will be looking very forward to a bigger and thicker and better-than-ever issue of The American Beagler!!! :D

Will the ESPO website still exsist or will it move here? That will be nice and will be tough job cleaning up some of the trash that goes on over on the ESPO board if it stays there  ....boy oh boy I bet ole MagNum is in a frenzy right now...hehehe :D :D :D

I have subscribed to both magazines since their beginning. TAB from very first issue, SPO from second or third, I believe. These have both been fine magazines that I look forward to each month. Bev has done a fine job in producing TAB, and I wish her luck.

Darrin, I'll answer your question the same way I did over on beagleinfo board and save myself some typing.

I see no reason to take the SPO website down. The SPO folks have enough going on to warrant their own site, plus, the pedigree creator is a nifty thing. That is what I'm thinking at present. We might make just a few changes of course, but it will basically stay available. Joe will remain the Webmaster - he's a very bright young man and quite capable. It may have to clean up just a touch (lol) ;) but I have faith in the beaglers themselves to do that to a large extent. Atmosphere is everything, so we'll "paint some cool blues and light some sweet-smelling candles" over there and hopefully the best of SPO board will shine thru. Some of them can be a rowdy bunch, but they are passionate about their dogs and that beats apathetic any day.

I think there will always be some controversy and a bit of arguing from time to time, but I think we'll see the mood change a little at a time and the site will be a valuable asset to the beaglers. They do get some really good discussions going over there for folks interested in SPO beagling.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and well-wishes!

In the words of the late Cubs announcer, "HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I guess I will have to tripple proof read any future articles that I write and have them gone over with a fine tooth comb and checked by the local high school English teacher for grammer and and and....

Congratulations Bev! You are in it with both feet now. :D
Best of luck,
Emery

Woah, Patch! 156 pages!? HOLY COWWWW!! (that would cost a small fortune to mail, :yikes: lol! ) Some of our ads and things are duplicates, so it won't exactly double, but there will certainly be more to look at. I'm not about to cut out the strictly rabbit hunting beagler. They will always have the front part of the magazine, give an occasional kennel or hound profile.

I have been doing great.our business has been superbusy. However I did slip away to run some dogs with Lynn Perkins over in the mountains.Of couse as we are going down the mountain with about a 500 ft drop on one side ,he has to start talking about how easy it would be to slide off.Thats how those mountain guys are.You need to make it over there some time.See ya
