Duke,
i seen the little female and the little male. They where pretty small, but there was a big female that is going to kevin. With my last litter the runt ended up at 14 1/2". She was super small unitl about 6 months. I like smaller beagles so i'm just hoping to see my pup at about 14". Glad to hear that you have blossum.

Steve, I didnt pick up Blossum, sorry if I confused you. I did see the big female that Kevin got. She was just a tad bigger than the one I got, but they sure look small, but again I got her to breed to Dutch, should be a good cross. And with her mother having been 15" and Dutch 15" even if she is a little smaller the pups should be fine.

By the time the Reggie pup I have comes into her second heat, the pups out of Dutch and Jen, the Daughter of FC Hardrock will have been running a while. So I will have had a real good look at the Branko/Blueback cross. Breeding her with Dutch should throw a lot of Blueticks. I hope she brings the best of Reggie forward. I really would like to see Reggie run.

I have four Reggie pups in my kennel. The oldest is a 9 mo. old female about 13 1/2". She has tons of hunt, speed and a chop mouth. She is what I like to call rabbit crazy and seems to be a dominant type hound, want's to be in charge and even tries to mount males, any male !All the tools are there. She is out of an unproven female called JD's Little Goldie. I also have two females out of my Shaker, Holdsworths Magnum force bitch. They are about 5 1/2 mo. and just getting started. I was hoping to get some size from this cross as my bitch is only about 13 1/2 but it appears they are gonna be right around 13,one will be lucky to hit 12 1/2 but it doesnt seem to affect their speed any. Now having said that, all females in my bitches litter are 13 1/2 and all males are a full 15. I got no males from my Reggie breeding(she laid on both males) so naturally when Mike Powers made the Shaker, Reggie cross I had to get my male,he is about 7,8 weeks old. These pups are all to young to really answer your question but from what I have seen so far I am happy. Hope that helps, check back in about 6 months. Dave
