the best salt is the white blocks from any feed store or mill. bust them up and put them under stuff. briars, junk, pallets. i have took plastic barrels and cut them in half and then cut two holes in each side. put a big chunk of salt under them and then put a cinder block on top. perfect for rabbits and the deer cant get to the salt. you would be surprised what deer can do to get to the salt.

Southern States & Tractor Supply carry 50 lb. bags of trace mineral salt and loose stock salt. We've been using it for years, makes one heck of a difference.

I heard the red ones were better for them because they had more minerals.

I put out two big salt blocks that I bought from TSC about two months ago and have noticed more rabbits already.
I was told that the salt pellets that is used in water softeners works too (duracube style).
Has anyone ever used the softener pellets?

We feed our rabbits at the club year round, we have 25 feeders and we put a small salt block under each feeder along with the rabbit feed.We have two running pens and we always have a surplus of rabbits.

I planted some patches of clover and alfalfa this year. I will see this summer how it works.

I buy the Salt Spools from Southern States and throw them under brush piles and briar thickets as I go by everytime I hunt or run.. This way as I hunt or run at a place I just throw them out as I go, I purchase them by the case and use a case each time out..By keeping them under brush and briars will keep the Deer and some other animals from getting to them..
