Big Dog,
I'm with mitch. I live in Highland county and can make it to west chester and childrens in a touch over an hour. Plenty of land around here much much cheaper than you will find in west chester. Obviously plenty of people to run with.

You might think about buying a house and some land across the river in Kentucky ;) Then you would'nt have to feel like a buckeyeLOL!!! Just kidding there are a lot of good beagle guys in Ohio and I think you will fit in just fine. Joe Diebold lives around Cinci, Greg brown lives out in the country I think about 30 minutes from Cinci. You might give Greg a call and see if there is anything for sale out his way. Ive been to his house several times and his part of the country is BUNNY HEAVEN!!! Plus he's got all them Blueback dogs :) . There's also Bryan Busch up around Columbus heck of a fella. Ive met a lot of good people from Ohio in to beagles I think you'll be just fine. Good Luck
If you don't breed for hunt sell you're beagles and buy a POODLE AND SOME PERFUME! GUN DOG'S that's all that matters. The rest will fall in place.

Big Dog, I live in a little town called Bowersville, at exit 58 off I-71. I work in West Chester which is about 50 minutes from where I live. We are on a 44 acre farm, and have plenty of running around here. I also know quite a few good areas to run and gun Beagles. My Wife and I also belong to a Beagle club in the area and your more than welcome to get in touch with me if you'd like any information. I'm fairly new to the area myself having moved here from Michigan about four and a half years ago. I got myself an Ohio atlas and gazetter with all the state land listed, and began to explore. Trust me, you won't be at all disappointed in the area. I saw Brandon Hill had also answered your post as well. He has some nice hounds and is a very knowledgable houndsman as well. As I said earlier, if you need any info, or would like to get together and run some hounds, please feel free to call. Bill & Sharon Ennis. 937-453-2672

I am about forty minutes east of cinci. I have some great running grounds close to me. I have some blueback bred dogs, and I know you have some of it too. I run with a few of the guys that have replied to you already, contact me to run any time you like, or if you have questions about the area, I'll help you all I can.

Kim, First off good luck and I hope all goes well for you and your family. Secondly, Jeremy is sad that he and Kellen will not get to see each other at the field trials anymore. Thirdly, Anthony and I are worried where we are going to get all the dogs to take your place at our field trial. And lastly, the pups I got from you are growing and will be beautiful pups. There registered names will be Big Dogs Double Duece and Big Dogs Black Prince. Good luck in Ohio and now I know Anthony and will have to do some of the big hunts to see you again.

Well it looks like the final verdict is in. I will be picking up and moving to OH in March. Right now I am in the process of looking for a house with some land or either just land in the surrounding area. If anyone knows of any good deals let me know. Looking for a house less than 5 years old on 5 or more acres of land that is not right up in the city. Trying to stay below $300,000 if possible. No more than 1/2 - 45 minute commute to Cincy for my wife. Any help is appreciated as I know nothing about the area.
