Beagles rooting in the yard....WTH for?

I have little holes everywhere too. These in my opinion are their wells of soft dirt that for some reason they like to eat. A few of them have poop that look like they are mostly composed of dirt!! What the heck is up with that? I know some people think they are missing something in their diet but, I think its purely a bad habit.

Well misery enjoys company and we sure got lots of that here! Next time I step in one of those little beagle holes, after I swear, I'm going to think of you guys and laugh!! ;)

I know that at my house it is not grubs because my yard man is obsessed with "his" lawn...
