Drummond is a great place to run. I have been staying at Papins and Bonnie and her husband run a great place. You won't have any issues with the hounds in there boxes or on a chain during the day just don't take them in her cabins. Hopefully TallPaul and I can get our reservations.

Beaqler111 Hare running can be just as good on the main land, sometimes better. I think alot of guys like Drummond, for its nostalgia. Something about going to the Rock. I've always wondered and kinda fought the idea of going over when you drive right past a lot of good running. Now the public land does thin out quite a bit once you head east of I-75. The Salmon will start running in mid Sept (pinks), up along Lake Superior if I'm not mistaken. someone will probably correct me. One thing that has increased, are the wovles. We've cut tracks in the winter on Drummond. You can find rentals (cabins) in most parts of the UP. Good Luck, This post is stirring some desires.
