Call the collar clinic and talk to them. They repair all kinds of collars. Ask them witch ones they would say is the best.

i own the 2 dog dogtra and the 3 dog tritronics and each has it's good and bad points.

For distance the tritronics hands down [70series xls]
as for toner i like the dogtra vibration better.Don't like the toning system as well as the vibration, dogs seem to respond quicker to it and less shocking, plus they make it easier when training.
both are compact and are great in the field.
I have put my 70 series beside the new G2's and can't tell the differance, just one is smaller than the other and the g2's charge quicker.
Tritronics i fill has great customer sevice hands down.

If i had to choose Tritronics would be my choice, just wish they would get away from that toner and go to the vibration which i think would make it the best all around collar system.

Tri-Tronics

Post by smithbros.1 »

I just bought the classic 70 two dog G2 in December. I love the new G2. I see people here have had problems with battery life, well I haven't charged it since it came out of the box. I have used it running hare on three hunts & cottontails seven or eight times. Still has a good charge. The collar light changes color to show battery life, Nice feature. IMO you would be happy with the G2.
