President, North Central Council of Food Inspection Locals, American Federation of Government Employees. I've worked both but been union nearly all my adult working years. I've been with AFGE 23 years and I'll be here till they pry my claws from the floor.

I'm Operating Engineers Local 545, Syracuse, NY. My dad is IBEW, my father in law is IBEW. My Uncle was in the Engineers 37 yrs. Brother in law all my uncles and wifes uncles are Union, IBEW, Laborers, Pipefitters the list goes on. She is the Secretary of her Teachers union. We both come from very big familys. One of her uncles is the president of one of the IBEW locals here in Central NY. Another one of my uncles is UAW retired from Pontiac MI. His son is UAW at the Saturn plant in TN. Needless to say there are no Toyotas to be seen at a family reunion!!

when it comes to Unions, up until last year i knew nothing about them. When it comes to dogs, up until last year i just knew they were good pets.
And thanks to my step father, i've become very attached to these little rabbit hunting dogs we call beagles, and im trying to get my book in the local 472 heavy laborers union. And now im proud both of running the beagles, and pushin the asphalt tryin to get my book, thanks to him, i am very pround of the hobby i have come across and the carreer im trying to pursue.

I joined Laborers Local 171 in 1967. I still pay my dues. There are a lot of hunters that work road constuction.
