PINE MT CHESTER

Post by voodoo »

OK Pete,Jimmy,Will, etc & ALL. I did not say Chester was a bad dog. I only said he was not the fastest dog. I have seen faster. Sorry but true. Now I bred to him didn't I? I have not bought any of his pups. To the other guy VooDoo was bred by Wayne Gross the best I ever owned (GRAND RABBIT CHAMPION) or probably ever will own. Now all you guys out there UNDERSTAND THIS FOR THE LAST TIME> PINE MT CHESTER IS NOT A BAD DOG he is a FINE HOUND. Breed to him he produces GREAT PUPS I have been told.Pete as far as public boards I thought they were for freedom of speech my bad.So if it is all right with all concerned. I will not mention PINE MT CHESTER again.I hope this takes care of all the hurt feelings. NO HARD FEELINGS HERE...........

Rufus,
Thanks for the response. I think you have cleared things up. I know you have for me. In response to your freedom of speech, I do think you have the right to come on these boards and say anything you want as long as it is accurate. I do think you still have a difference of opinion with those guys that saw Chester run after he matured and came into his own. Good luck.

Plateau,
Saying Chester is the Top reproducer in KY is kind of a bold statement....I am sure Rufus, Bobby and Allen appreciate the comment though. I would have to say he is one of them, but there are many fine stud dogs in this state and others. I personally lean towards the dog because I have seen him run and have watched most and owned a few of his pups and like what he has produced and feel comfortable in knowing what to expect out of them. There are some really good stud dogs producing out there. T Rex, Reffetts Ky Mtn Sampson(RIP) being just a few that I have really been impressed with.

Rufus you get all the credit in the world for Chester. He was an exceptional hound and a credit to your breeding program. We can agree to disagree on some things it is what makes the world go around.

As far as Chester all and all the "Proof is in the Pudding" as far as his reproducing ability. His pups from limited breedings have been winning and placing in hunts in ARHA and AKC Midwest trials. It is good to see him being utilized as he has much to offer the sport of beagling. I think the best compliment to the hound is the fact that his owners have never publicly advertised him for stud. It has all come from word of mouth and people liking his pups. I dont think you can go wrong with him. But like with any breeding think it through before making the cross.

Good luck.

Masonbeagles i agree with you he is one of the best to breed to, but noticed i said T-REX also. It was just bad wording on my part, not a statment to down any other fine producers in Ky.
They say you can't drive through Ky without bring home another beagle to your kennel, and thats why i drive around the state.LOL

But hopefully soon i will get to breed to Chester. I have another female out of New County Gambler and Shroeder's Rj Magic and she has plenty of speed, good line control, hard hitting off the line, and can gear down when needed, along with alot of hunt. I hope to breed her when she comes in soon.
But that is just my thoughts on who i would like to breed to, and i'm not down Pete's dog Cleo. From what i have heard he is turning out to be one heck of a hound.

Like stated the proof is in the pudding. Bobby, Allen, or Pete don't push no one to breed to there they know it's there and are all great guy's that love the sport like we do.

Wished i had Chester, Cleo, and T-REX in my kennels any day.

Ive known rufus along time. He's not downing chester, hes just saying what he thought and seen out of him when he had him. like it or not he'll tell you what he thinks, is right or wrong with your dog or his. he is harder on his dogs then anyone ive every been around. if he wasnt hard on dogs chester, cleo, spade, gracie, ect would had never left pine mt. its not there not good dogs, he's just hard on ever dog hes ever own. thats the way we should all be. ive own pine mt dog of years and hes alway told me what he thought and ive always respect that,(like it or not) he's breed bad ones and good ones (most bad one never were sold). Rufus is for the beagles not the owners/trailer. hes just rufus like him or not. he a very good breeder and one heck of a guy. keep a breeding those pine mt dogs.

I agree 100% RAD. He is a good person and also the hardest person on a hound I have ever known. Both ability wise and on conditioning them. His dogs typically look like they have been put through a meat cleaver. If you run with him you better have yours in shape and bring a lunch cause his will be there for a while.
