Was told a story one time of an old man who lived in our area before WW II. Rode an mule and a pack of the sorriest lookin' finest runnin' foxhounds always followed him. Said you could "see thru em" they was so thin!
Friend who told the story said his daddy and him passed him on a mountain trail one morning going to town. A couple of minutes later they heard him holler loud at the hounds and went back to investigate. Thought they might hear a fox race. They eased back, not wanting to be noticed by the man. WHAT THEY FOUND WAS HIM STANDING IN THE SADDLE AND VIOLENTLY SHAKING THE LIMBS OF A HUGE CEDAR TREE. CEDAR BERRIES WERE FALLING ALL UNDER AND AROUND THE MULE. AND THEM HOUNDS WAS SUCKING UP LIKE VACCUMN CLEANERS
Guess that all them hounds ate was fox tracks and cedar berries

The Merrick canned is "human grade" which means it is fit for human consumption...anyway, the stuff is so darn goodlooking I know for a fact I could heat it up in the crock pot and feed it to my whole family and they would love it, LOL. I am sure it is much healthier than, say, a Swanson TV Dinner
It's expensive so I just add a big spoonful per bowl of kiddle and mix it around. Satisfies my maternal instincts

Pride seems to be a good feed so I have heard
I am feeding a new dogfood in my area called Cody Brothers 26-18 and my dogs look great and it seems to hold up very well. My store sponsors the Elkhorn City Beagle Club with Pride 26-18, 27-18, and the 24-20. Lot of the local guys really likes the Pride. Performance, Digestability, and the coats on these dogs looks great. Not bragging because I sell it because like I said I feed the Cody Brothers and it seems to be a great dogfood so I stayed with it.
