Don't know the exact amout of snow we got but Ive been shoveling out my drive and a path to the kennel and it's everybit of 2 feet deep. I LOVE IT and hope we get more. I have never seen this much snow that I can remember. I was to young to remember the "BLIZZARD OF 78" and we never get snow that amounts to anything and this is something to share with my littles ones. Tom Gross

Cooper,
We had to live at the plant for 3 days in the 78' blizzard(roads closed) We had just gotten the new rubber tired dozers and once the coal fill was done, they went to the highway to load dump trucks to haul the snow away(we weren't accustom to having such drifts, all the cuts through the hills were drifted full). The churches got together and made food for anyone who was in need. I had the honor of bring in food to the plant from those kind hearted people. That's the thing about hard times, the shallowness is over come by the goodness in people, all the trivial things are forgotten and ones love and concern for his fellow man comes forth.
If you've got an elderly neighbor, go over and check on them, God might have a blessing in store for you

Patch,
My neighbors aren't elderly but one has had back surgery, one young couple just had a new baby and the other one across the road is fater then I am so I'm sure he is a heart attack candidate if shoveling snow. After I got my 1500 foot lane plowed out I cleaned out those 3 neighbors drives so all could get out to the road should they need to. Do you think I might get a blessing for this even though they weren't elderly? My wife tells me I need all the help I can get. The young couple go to church with her so maybe they'll all put in some good words for me.

We were border line according to the all mighty doplar (sp?). Either we get 4-6 inches or we dont. Well we didnt get the 4-6 inches of snow or any blame snow for that matter. But we were blessed with about an inch of ICE blanketing everything this morning. Nothing like not having all the eye boogers wiped clean and then all the sudden your skating toward the garage only to have the door thats frozen to the ground break your momentum. But thats ok because once I got out on the road heading to work there were at least 2 turds that really dont realize that ICE dont give a crap how big your tires are and or how deap the tread is because it is a good time to have a dragrace with minimal traffic at 5am. Fortunately though only one had a ditch burger for breakfast and noone was hurt. Its funny how if we ever get any snow to amount to much how people drive 10 MPH but when there is only a nice layer of ice on the road they drive like they're in the INDY 500. Dont get me wrong I dont want some of you guys 15-24 inches of snow but I will glady take 10 inches of snow and under any day over this ice crap. Anyways, hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend and Merry Christmas to all of you.
