I believe most know that I have been toying with you! and that I have thoroughly enjoyed it, you are easy and I always like when you jump in, I know it is going to be an enjoyable evening! eventually you will come to realize that it is you that irritated yourself!

4 pages of rabbits turning off scent 4 pages of fun, ..............GW now you went and ruined it.

No more hard hunting hound lines cuz they DON'T exist, now no more Shutting off scent, what's next

likeem, , it all ends at some point, he is never really "over the top" so it stretches the enjoyment factor out, I would go so far as to say he is one of my favorites. I made a post over on the Duck Dynasty thread and I thought sure as heck someone would probably call me a homo or something because of the " stand" I took. it is simply the way I feel , I say live and let live ! Likeem, I wouldn't start a thread like that you would be asking that some display their egos . for someone to post that they were a houndsmen would have others thinking they were a know it all. I wouldn't post on it myself as I don't want to be known as one! I think it would get very little traffic.

yes yes, i read that also, if i weren't so busy wrapping presents and the Phil topic interested me, to the point my opinion mattered to A&E, i would of chimed in.

Here's another one ive thought about, does buying top hounds make you a houndsman? So many questions, so few people wanting to hear the answers.

Likeem, There is nothing on this planet and I mean nothing that will turn a person into an expert any faster than owning a top hound. Buying one is the quickest way to become a houndsmen that there is. I have known guys that on Friday couldn't tell you what side of the hound the hair was supposed to be on and after picking their hound up on Saturday and completing the stud ad to send to the magazines currently in production ,were dispensing information right and left and considering writing a column for the local paper. If you don't believe they know every thing there is to know they will show you the stud ad in the magazine, and perhaps some ribbons, hard to argue with evidence like that in their favor, I generally prefer a seat right at their feet when they speak but it seems that I can never get within a mile of them due to those who also understand that a walking, talking fountain of wisdom has arrived!

well that made me laugh, as i can see the ad being written, so feverishly as Ralphie deciphered his "Drink more Ovaltine" message on A Christmas Story. I've only been a member 2 years but ive seen that word (Houndsmen) typed more in the last week than the 2 years ive been on here.

My definition does not pertain to taking a youth hunting, having a good heart, or anything like that. It's eating drinking and sleeping hounds, helping your female lick the last pup clean while shes having the next one. That sort of stuff. Giving John Boy one of your culls at Christmas to hopefully get a boy interested in hunting is a kind spirit, not a houndsmen. I think if no one started a thread by tmor i will get it up there, cuz i think rabbits shutting off scent is over.

Patch, I gave nobody nothing. I'm not the one who gave what was wanted. This scent mystery has been going on in the 40 plus years I have been running hounds. It can't be explained by you, me, Bunny, Newt, or GW. It's a phenomenon that there are theories but no definitive answers. A 10th page on the topic won't bring a revelation. Move on, I can't believe it went on this long, and actually it hasn't, like I said 4 pages of shutting off scent and 4 pages of someone having fun with others who we're not smart enough to know it.

You can get it back on topic right now if you want, but what's the point? You guys are beating a dead horse.

You do understand that you can always turn the channel don't you. someone cut in and called me a name ( I considered it an early Christmas gift) and I had a little fun with him afterward.
