Going back and rereading it's obvious that if you don't have a fc female and breeding her to a fc male and making sure every pup is going to a person who field trials AKC (you know this is the only one that matters) then basically you're wasting all of our time. So everyone that can meet this criteria please send me a personal message so I can get in line for one of these super pups that are guaranteed to be the best.

Funny how people interpret things differently.....

Depends on what you like as to what stud you like..and if you have seen quality pups off the stud....

We all have different opinions and we all have circles of folks we deal with.....

Good dogs from several studs out there...hope to add to the list I have seen when I see a young dog that does it right from any of the above mentioned hounds....always looking for quality.

IMO again i dont think theres to many guys out where with a kennel full of A$$ KICKIN FEMALES ! imo opinion most of the females out there that someone is willing to drive a good a good distance to breed is pretty good one though and worthy of being bred. as far as pedigrees go . how any guys ( sure theres some ) can look at a 3gen ped on there
dog and say they have hunted with or put a good season on all 14 ancesters. look at a 6 gen ped on any dog out there and i bet theres alot of average dogs in it. as far as the best
stud out there that would be the one that can compliment your female and add something to your kennel. a long time breeder of plott hounds once told me that when someone
tells you (thats the best dog ive ever seen) there opinion doesnt mean much unless you know what kind of dogs they been to the woods with ! if you got an above average gyp
breed her to something better! if you got an average gyp breed to something better. lots of nice males out there !

There is an old boy west of where I live that has a 14 generation bitch line going thats pretty good. Back to the point I still say Oliver. As he is still living and breeding and producing winners out of most litters.

this is why I choose to linebreed...I have been around a certain line of dogs mostly paycheck bred for about 14 years now, and yes of all 12 of our dogs between 3 different kennel locations I have seen EVERY dog run in the 3 generation pedigree run with the exception of 3 of those dogs and all 3 of those dogs I have seen at least all 3 generations of the bottom or top half run. Selectively using out crosses WHBCH GRHBCH GRPCH Nat PP Champion Gauge 8 and GRRCH Chimney Rocks Bad Moon Rising, and GRHBCH GRCH White River Coal Miner as my outcross lines thus far. I don't favor a "conservative" hound. I want a dog that hits the ground hustling and hunting fast and hard for a rabbit, runs to catch and uses brains not nose power to keep a rabbit moving. Snaps to a point of loss then moves out as far as needed to recover the check. Extra mouth before a rabbit is produced is not tolerated for long. Lots of the studs metioned on here are NOT that style of hound. If your searching for a stud you need to know where that bitch comes from and what makes her tick genetically before you start trying to add alittle more sauce to your taste. I've had very good sucesss with reproducing what I like and judging by the phone calls text messages, and facebook PM's I receive daily asking me when I'll have pups available some people somewhere appreciate them as well...but I'm not going to breed just to meet requests from others. I'm breeding for me and my two good hunting buddies (kennel partners if you will). A real houndsmen knows you cannot just rattle off names for a popular decision, it takes time and miles to find what you like!!
