congrats Uno and Leah!!!! Anyone that can't be thankful and happy for this award , doesn't know much about beagles!!! They probably couldn't win a best male or female at their local club, and their dog probably back tracks and runs ghost trials but if that makes them happy that is fine ; however, give credit where it is due. This is a great win for the beagling world. I beleive that if I put that Great looking dog with mine in a few days he would start developing a desire to go help them chase that bunny. Would I give it a try, YOU BETTER BELEIVE I WOULD. GO UNO!!!!!

Wow!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! Thank you all so much for the Heartfelt support and the
hundreds of emails and phone calls!!! Kathy and I are still very much on
Cloud nine!!!! This has been a thrill of a lifetime and a pleasure to share it

Backyard Beagler, no way Uno would have anything to do with the poodle, he's way too cool and too much in demand to start slumming with that stuff!!!!!!!!! The rule of the fuzzy dogs is over! Let the reign of the beagle begin. AND-be careful who you sell pups to, there will be tons of them in shelters soon, inexperienced slickers can't handle hounds well unless they are really motivated or have a background with hounds.

I'm glad UNO won. Congratulations!!!! You have raised the bar for the breed.

Now beaglers can focus on the next challenge for our breed. Having the same beagle win Westminster and the field trial Nationals.
Who is going to bridge that gap? Now that would be a great breeding program!!!

Congratulations to UNO and everyone involved with him. My heart swelled to see the overwhelming support for him, and his thanks back to the masses. (RahWoo)LOL He's changed the way everyone will look at Beagles from now on. They'll no longer be overlooked as the best of the best in the show ring again. I believe everyone who knows I own Beagles has called me, as I'm sure has happened for all other Beagle owners also. You've definately put Beagles into mainstream America, and the news coverage up to the big show and since has been wonderful. Thanks again.

I am only sad for the way he likes to "sing", I have heard barking is frowned upon my many and they "snip" them for it... ... no doubt he will pass his "singing voice" along to many...

Our hounds sing when we go to kennels, many visitors comment, "my how they bark", I tell them, "they are singing and are happy to see us". Once we were among them all was quiet again and there were licks and hound paws for everyone to go round...
You must choose and love the animal for what they are or what you prefer , some are quiet and some are noisy, some docile and some hyper, they are individuals all and it is our responsibility match the hound that fits the owner and their home environment.*
