Just got back from over in middle Tn. where I spent the last two days hunting with my good friend Peter Burns A.K.A Briarhoppers and his 7 year old son Decker John,brother-in-law Dave and friend Adam.We burned them up as Pete took us to a honey hole and we had rabbits going in every direction! Everybody shot several.
My Josie female out of Staten's Blue Samurai x Jake's Blue Belle II [bred by outrider66 and is a litter mate to his Rider male] was running her 3'rd day in a row and still was holding the front on most of the races with six other pretty decent footy hounds..Fast,accurate and snap back check dog.
No cold trailing or gearing down needed as it was in the 60's and the running was pedal-to-the-metal all day.
Decker John's Smoke dog at a year and a half old is a very nice young hound and the kid is rightfully proud of him.

Dana I'm glad you like that female so much ! If you ever decide to breed her I would realy be interested in a male pup out of her ! we have high temps here and melting
snow . scenting conditions are not great , Rider ran a rabbit yesterday for over 2hrs and pretty much sounded like he was cold trailing most of the time ! I could have
shot it several times but let him run it until it crossed a county road and ran down the ditch on I-77 (Of Interest?) Josie & Riders Dam was pounding a big spring time buck
several years ago and she went between two bridges and was running it in the median between the north & south bound lanes of I-77 !!! when I caught her
