Pine Mountain Beagles

Post by Chain rock »

Anyone have any opinions(good or bad) on Pine Mt. Beagles bred by Rufus Stewart I have been off work for a couple of weeks and fortunate enough to hunt with some of his dogs and to me they are some of the hardest hunting dogs around. I think we jumped around 20 rabbits yesterday and killed 9 , we tired out before the dogs. I am relatively young at beagling and have alot to learn but I think I saw yesterday what a hunting dog is.

Slickrock , I have hunted with both the Buster dog and the Bubba dog and they are fast and can handle a track. They seem to make it rough on the others , but dont let his young pups fool you , with a little age those T-Rex pups will be hard to handle. I'd like to be feeding any of them.

Ive ran pine mtn dogs for years and they've always been hard hitting dogs bread to last all day. ruf has always tried to better the breed thats his main goal when breeding. he studys blood lines ALOT and tries to please himself no one else. and in 15teen years ive never seen him pleased,VOO was close but ruf can always find something wrong with a beagle any beagle trust me you ask him about a dog and he will tell you what he thinks... thats why ruf is a top noch breeder in my book because hes trying to better the breed not his repuration. keep breeding those pine mtn hounds ruf. looking forward to see the next gen of pine mtn dogs here their going have a little twist. DONT FORGET YOUR OLD PAL ED. VOO was one heck of a rabbit dog notice i said RABBIT DOG we enjoyed him for years didnt we ruf. just keep trying to breed for one better than he was and when you cul thru them call me i know how you cul because me and eveyone else have been proudly been running your culs for years. some of us have even made them CHAIMPIONS SO JUST KEEP CULLING RUF.

RAD , We need to get together and run some of these culls. Supposed to be going on a good hunt Saturday in Tennessee on about 1600 acres of private farmland that hasn't been touched this year, should be interesting. If your interested call me or get in touch with Rufus I think he is going to go if he's able.
