this year would have to be either Nr. FC Higher's Winston Cup or FC Spruce Swamp Mr. Murphy. Winston had two big wins on snow this year at Glendale and Upper Hudson and Murphy has placed in 99% of the trials this year, regardless of format, conditions or who was judging...he is just a nice hound with all the tools.

Billy Vuaghn has a male named Sure Shot Billy B that is real nice. This past fall was his derby year and he won the MAB Derby Runoff and the UBGF Derby Runoff. He hasnt put him in a liscensed trial yet but should finish quick.

I judged a big class of 32 13" males in Ohio at an AKC Mid-West trial a couple months ago. The top three were as good as I've seen since FC Indian Hills Night Train & FC JR's Top Gun Tyke. They were FC Blackie's T-Rex, Near FC Sunset Scooter & Drive On Bunker Buster. They were so good it was hard to decide how to place them. Other good little males I've judged in the last few years were FC Barcus's Ohio River Teddy, FC J & B Little Cisco, near FC Ross' Cadillac Jack, FC Campbell's Urge To Surge Bo, Shady Creeks Tracker Jag, FC Holly Bend Buddy, FC Sturgeon Creeks Little Buster, FC Taylors July Jess, near FC Capital City Mack, Hartwicks Flashing Stoney, FC Anderson's T Shadow, Odds On Blue Blood & FC Branko's AC/DC. These were some little males that I remember that put on some great runs; I'm probably forgetting a few.

winston resides in carthage ny.i would be the breeder to this male.eric highers is my nephew.he now has three wins all on snow.he lacks thirty points to finish.i suspect that he wont be trialed again until the spring trials as eric works out of town and he cant keep winston in good enough shape to trial through the summer.eric has bred him quite a few times this summer so there might be some pups availabe out of him.i know of one bitch that is four months old that is left out of one of the litters but i do not know how much he wants for here.she will stay thirteen.rob thanks for throwing winston in the mix of thirteen inch hounds i am sure there are a lot of good ones out there. eric appreciates it.

Mindon, I was just busting on you about selling her,she isn't forsale. She is the smartest pup i have had being so young.Always has her nose to he ground searching, walks perfect on the leash from day one.And she even fetchas for me.She is a very smart pup.If she is 1/2 as good as her father she will be something.Cause we know how good of a hunting dog her father is.Her mother might have something to add too it also. ;)

Thanks m_ skin for the info. Makes perfect sense to me, if you can't keep them in shape you are just wasting time and money. I have heard nothing but good about Winston as a Snow Hound :)
